I really had a moment with skincare this year. I found myself realizing that I needed to focus more on my skin more than ever. So I started getting more serious about my routine, the products involved, and at-home treatments. While my skincare routine is regularly changing, there are many products that have stayed quite consistent with throughout the year and I wanted to share those with you. Every year, I find myself making little changes to my routine to improve the condition of my skin and prevent signs of aging. I think this year, more than ever, I have made big strides and changes in my routine.
CLEANSERS
Elemis Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm - I've been a fan of the original cleansing balm for years (read my review here) and this rose-infused version is even better! It smells so luxurious and soothing. Plus, it has an amazing balmy consistency that melts away all makeup.
Algenist Genius Ultimate Anti-Aging Melting Cleanser - This cleansing blam is a favorite for its creamy texture that easily dispenses from the plastic tube! This is much more convenient than using a balm in a tub when you're tired and need a quick way to remove makeup. It really does melt away all makeup and leaves the skin super clean.
Instytutum Transforming Melting Cleanser - Another excellent balmy cleanser in a tube! I love the fresh scent and the consistency is so easy to massage into the face instantly and quickly remove makeup. I love the convenient packaging and formula.
Erno Laszlo Phelityl Pre-Cleansing Oil - This cleansing oil is another pre-cleansing product that I often rotate to when I'm wearing fairly heavy makeup because it is a very rich and thicker oil. This oil really breaks down more stubborn makeup and mascara very well. This is really meant as a makeup remover and does require you to cleanse the skin afterward.
Erno Laszlo Hydrating-Therapy Foaming Cleanser - I've been really enjoying this foaming cleanse because a little goes such a long way and it really helps remove any additional makeup. This cleanser has a very lightweight cream texture that instantly foams when mixed with water to create a creamy and hydrating cleansing foam.
Erno Laszlo Phelityl Cleansing Bar - Don't underestimate these cleansing bars, they really help you get super clean skin and help remove stubborn makeup. I love the cleansing bars because a little goes a long way and the light foam that bar creates is so gentle on the skin. My skin always feels very refreshed after using this cleanser.
TONERS & FACIAL MISTS
REN Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic - This is the only toner I have really been using this past year. This toner has made it into countless favorites lists because it really gives you a serious glow, helps exfoliate, and helps smooth out any texture on the skin! This toner also helps you rothe skincare products sink in so well! I can't recommend it enough, head to my review here to learn more about it.
Elemis Pro-Collagen Rose Hydro-Mist - This refreshing rose mist is so hydrating and the rose scent is intoxicating! I love the refreshing and plump feeling this product gives my skin. It really helps penetrate into the skin and provide a super-hydrating boost. I often spritz it all over before applying my serums and it helps my serums sink in better and add a boost of hydration!
Revive Energizing Hydration Mist - This mist is super refreshing and energizing! I love using it in the mornings to add more hydration and give me a good wake up-boost. The mist has a very fresh scent and it just feels really refreshing on the skin. Great to help with serum absorption and it also makes a great mid-day pick-me-up!
Malie Organics Botany Beauty Hydrosol Facial Tonic - I love this natural and light floral face mist! It smells wonderful, soothing, and luxurious. It really adds some lovely hydration to the skin and it's packed with some beautiful natural nutrients. This has been one of my favorite face mists for years and it will continue to be a staple in routine. Check out my full review of this mist here.
Murad Hydration Probiotic 3-in-1 Mist - This one was very new to me this year but I almost finished this super hydrating milky mist. This mist has a milky coloring and it is so hydrating and nourishing on the skin. I love using it to add more hydration to my skin when it gets extremely dry. It's packed with nutrients for the skin and it makes my skin glow.
Derma-E Hydrating Mist - This hydrating mist is a great all-around mist because of the affordable price, the natural ingredients, and it just does a great job of hydrating the skin. This is a great one to pair with a hyaluronic acid serum for the ultimate hydrating boost to the skin! I've finished several bottles in the past of this mist and I will continue to use it because it's so good and affordable.
SERUMS & BOOSTERS
Paula's Choice Serums & Boosters - I have SO MANY of these that I absolutely love and I often rotate between! I can't recommend Paula's Choice serums enough, they're all so potent and they do exactly what they're made to do! These serums have really kept my skin in balance, improved its appearance, and texture! I would recommend getting a few that address your skin concerns and rotate regularly through them.
Dr. Jart Peptidin Firming & Radiance Serums - These two serums have been essentials for the entire year, since I got them at the very end of 2018. The firming serum is great for plumping and smoothing out lines, bring back elasticity, and firming the skin. The radiance one really gives you a natural healthy glow but you do need to use them consistently. I notice when I use these consistently, my skin is so fresh, luminous, and youthful! I'm a huge fan of both of these and I plan on repurchasing them because I am running quite low.
Good Molecules Super Peptide Serum - This affordable peptide serum is almost empty. I received it at the beginning of last year in my Beautylish Lucky Bag and it's been in my rotation all year. It gives me very fresh, plump, and hydrated skin. It smells lovely and it just is an all-around great everyday serum.
Cle Cosmetics Vitamin C Elixir - This dual-phase vitamin c serum has a nourishing layer of oil that when mixed in, provides a ton of hydration and glow to the skin. This serum is potent and really helps brighten teh skin and lighten dark spots. The oil is so hydrating and great for my dry skin. I'm a huge fan of the natural ingredients in this serum. Erno Laszlo Hydra-Therapy Boost Serum - This gel-textured serum is like a big drink fo water for the skin. It soaks into the skin and is packed with hyaluronic acid, which helps retain so much moisture! It really helps plump the skin, offer a refreshed look to the skin and helps other skincare really penetrate the skin.
Bliss Renew & Smooth Glycolic Polyhydroxy Acid Nigth Serum - This serum helps refine and smooth out texture and pores on the skin. The glycolic acid is very gentle and this serum also helps your moisturizer and other products really soak into the skin. It removes dead skin cells and anything that may be blocking your skin from receiving nutrients. When you wake up, your skin is super soft and glowing.
Bliss Glow & Hydrate Niacinamide & Hyaluronic Acid Serum - To pair with the glycolic serum, this hydrating serum is packed with all the hydrating ingredients! This is great for the mornings when your skin needs so extra hydration from the overnight treatment or any exfoliating treatment. This hydrating serum feels so refreshing on the skin and is loaded with hydration. So much so, that it makes your skin glow and look very fresh. I love to layer this with my mists, to really lock in all the moisture.
Revive Defensif Environmental Antioxidant Booster - This skin booster is like a serum but it instead mixes into your moisturizer and helps protect against environmental damage and aggressors. You don't even notice it's there because it is mixed into your moisturizer but it really helps long term with lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, and the texture of your skin. I love how easy it is to use and it isn't an extra layer of product on the skin.
Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum - I love this vitamin c serum because it has a oil mixed into it, making it very nourishing and hydrating. It really gives my skin a lovely glow but doesn't add so much moisture that it breaks down makeup. It feels so nourishing on the skin and helps fight environmental damage and brighten the skin overall. This is easily one of my favorite vitamin c serums I have ever tried and I will definitely be repurchasing this one.
DAY CREAMS
Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream - This balmy-gel moisturizer adds a beautiful glow to the skin and makes an excellent makeup prep cream. It feels very fresh on the skin and leaves a smooth veil of product that let's makeup glide easily on top and makes your base bit beautifully on the skin. Revive Firming Moisture Cream - This soft and rich cream is an amazing day cream for my dry skin. A little bit goes such a long way in hydrating and nourishing my skin. It has a very soft and fluffy texture but feels very creamy and decadent on the skin. It is truly a very luxurious cream and it really makes my skin look so healthy, youthful, and smooth. There's a light SPF, which is great for daily use and it just makes my skin feel great afterward.
Bliss Ex-Glow-Sion Cream - This affordable version of Strobe Cream is an amazing glowing prep cream! The luminosity that this product has is very natural and radiant. You can't see any noticeable shimmer on the skin but it just adds a beautiful glow all over. It makes anything that goes on top of it dewy and fresh. This cream has just enough hydration to keep my dry skin hydrated but doesn't cause greasiness.
Elemis Peptide-4 Adaptive Day Cream - This day cream is designed to treat the skin optimally during the day time and perfectly prep the skin for makeup. I love this range from Elemis because it really works to treat and hydrate the skin. This new moisturizer creates a perfectly smooth canvas for makeup to sit on and makes your base totally flawless. Paula's Choice Youth Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 - This super lightweight lotion formula blends into the skin seamlessly and leaves no white residue or cast on the skin. It also doesn't give the skin a greasy texture and makeup sits on top of it beautifully. I use it regularly for daily protection but it was also amazing tot ake with me on vacation.
The Lotus Jeju Botanical Sun Cream SPF 50 - This sunscreen has a thicker and balmy texture but it blends into the skin invisibly leaving behind mo white wast on the skin. Makeup sits very well on top of it and it almost has a gripping formula that helps with the longevity of your makeup. This cream feels very refreshing on the skin and layers well with other skincare products but is also nice used alone.
Elemis Daily Defense Shield SPF 30 - This product has made it into multiple favorites lists because it is so amazing for everyday use. I love how lightweight and invisible it looks and feels on the skin! It literally disappears into the skin and it protects against both UV rays and blue light emitted from electronic devices!
NIGHT CREAMS
Augustinus Bader The Cream & The Rich Cream - These creams are my dream team! They're the only creams I use absolutely alone without layering anything else underneath or on top because they're so potent and nourishing! Malie Organics Botany Beauty Firming Cream - When my skin is super irritated and flared up from my allergies, this is the only moisturizer I go to because it is so soothing, gentle, and nourishing. This cream actually makes my dry patches and even eczema patches go away! Also, this cream is packed with a ton of natural extracts and nutrients that help firm and renew the skin. I highly recommend trying this cream out!
Elemis Peptide-4 Plumping Pillow Facial - This refreshing gel-cream is my favorite kind of evening moisturizer! It feels amazing on my skin, like a drink of water, it is so hydrating. I love how plump, renewed, and hydrated my skin looks and feels. The soothing fragrance lulls me to sleep and the nutrients in this moisturizer work exceptionally hard overnight to completely transform my skin!
Erno Laszlo Hydraphel Intensive Night Cream - This rich and thick cream provides so much hydration and nourishment to my dry skin. It creates a nourishing veil that soaks into my skin overnight and leaves it so fresh, hydrated, and smoother in the morning. I notice my skin is tighter and adds elasticity to my skin.
Erno Laszlo Hydra-Therapy Memory Sleep Mask - This jelly-like texture is so unique because it melts into the skin and feels like water. It really helps intensely hydrate the skin, adds elasticity, and plumps out lines. This overnight mask had such a refreshing texture and pairs well with many serums, locking them in and creating a nourishing veil of hydration!
EYE CREAM
Elemis Peptide-4 Eye Recovery Cream - This is the only eye cream I have been using for years, mostly because I'm notoriously bad at remembering to use them but also because this one doesn't cause milia. I have a tendency to get milia very easily when it comes to my under eyes and this nourishing eye cream isn't overly rich and skin-clogging. It really helps hydrate, smooth, and refresh my under eyes with a light gel-cream texture that doesn't feel heavy but still helps defend against aging.
Bliss Ex-Glow-Sion Eye Cream - I just love this lightweight eye cream because it illuminates and brightens my under eyes! The fine illuminating pearls in it help give me fresh, brighter, and more awake under eyes! This eye cream is hydrating but isn't too rich and greasy, making it perfect for prepping for makeup. It really helps mask and reflect the darkness under my eyes on a daily basis.
FACIAL OILS
Elemis Pro-Collagen Rose Facial Oil - I can't get enough of the Elemis rose range! This oil has a lightweight texture but a rich and nourishing feeling on the skin. It hydrated my skin perfectly without causing my breakouts or clogging my pores. The smell is so delightful and soothing. The rose extract is so soothing and hydrating on my skin. Also, this oil just makes your skin glow!
Malie Organics Botany Beauty Illuminating Serum - This oil has been on countless favorites lists since I received it and it will continue to be a staple in my routine forever! This oil has a beautiful blend of nourishing oils and is packed with a ton of vitamins and nutrients. It has a beautiful natural floral fragrance that isn't overpowering and is so intoxicating. This is a great affordable facial oil that I continue to reach for time and time again.
SKINCARE DEVICES
Beauty Bio Science GloPro Microneedling Device - I've been a huge fan of at-home mirconeedling devices for years now and this year I was able to get one of the most premium ones out there. This microneedling device has a vibrating function, as well as, a red light therapy function that works all while you are microneedling! I have seen significant improvement in the elasticity of my skin and reduction in fine lines when I am using this device consistently. Don't be afraid or intimidated by mirconeedling it doesn't hurt and it significantly improves your skin! I write a review on this device when I get a chance.
NuFace Mini Microcurrent Device - This device came into my life fairly late into the year but I've already seen tremendous results from using it daily! This device really does tone, firm, tighten, and smooth lines and wrinkles! It's a little miracle device if you can stick with using it consistently. I find it's ideal for prepping the skin for makeup in the mornings because it stimulates my blood flow and it gives me a beautiful glow to my complexion before makeup even goes on my skin! I'm so impressed with this device and what it has achieved on my skin so far. I'm working on a review and I hope to share more thoughts on this device soon!

The fine illuminating pearls in it help give me fresh, brighter, and more awake under eyes! This eye cream is hydrating but isn't too rich and greasy, making it perfect for prepping for makeup. It really helps mask and reflect the darkness under my eyes on a daily basis.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Rose Facial Oil - I can't get enough of the Elemis rose range! This oil has a lightweight texture but a rich and nourishing feeling on the skin. It hydrated my skin perfectly without causing my breakouts or clogging my pores. The smell is so delightful and soothing. The rose extract is so soothing and hydrating on my skin. Also, this oil just makes your skin glow!
Malie Organics Botany Beauty Illuminating Serum - This oil has been on countless favorites lists since I received it and it will continue to be a staple in my routine forever! This oil has a beautiful blend of nourishing oils and is packed with a ton of vitamins and nutrients. It has a beautiful natural floral fragrance that isn't overpowering and is so intoxicating. I love the way this oil gives my skin some serious glow and nourishes it so well. My skin is always hydrated, plump, and smooth after using this oil. Learn more about it in my review here.
Instytutum Powerful RetinOil - This lightweight yet rich oil is a gamechanger! You will notice a serious transformation in your skin overnight when using this oil. It really plumps and smooths lines on the face, it makes your face so soft and brings back the healthy elasticity into your skin. A little bit of this oil goes a long way and it is a staple in my routine!

It adds a tone of luminosity to the skin while on and afterward as well. This oil plumps and smooths lines on the skin. It makes your skin soft and supple. This is a great affordable facial oil that I continue to reach for time and time again.
SKINCARE DEVICES
Beauty Bio Science GloPro Microneedling Device - I've been a huge fan of at-home mirconeedling devices for years now and this year I was able to get one of the most premium ones out there. This microneedling device has a vibrating function, as well as, a red light therapy function that works all while you are microneedling! I have seen significant improvement in the elasticity of my skin and reduction in fine lines when I am using this device consistently. Don't be afraid or intimidated by mirconeedling it doesn't hurt and it significantly improves your skin! I write a review on this device when I get a chance.
NuFace Mini Microcurrent Device - This device came into my life fairly late into the year but I've already seen tremendous results from using it daily! This device really does tone, firm, tighten, and smooth lines and wrinkles! It's a little miracle device if you can stick with using it consistently. I find it's ideal for prepping the skin for makeup in the mornings because it stimulates my blood flow and it gives me a beautiful glow to my complexion before makeup even goes on my skin! I'm so impressed with this device and what it has achieved on my skin so far. I'm working on a review and I hope to share more thoughts on this device soon!

I love Erno Laszlo products, but Erno Laszlo Pore Refining Detox Double Cleanse missed the mark for me. I have an oily T-zone, for which this cleanser worked well, but not so much for the drier skin on my cheeks. In fact, it really did a number on them and I went from having occasional flakiness to my cheeks looking like I was molting (yeah, ew...). Even with copious amounts of heavy face cream, if I used this cleanser all over my face it was if I hadn't used any cream or lotion at all. I know this cleanser is for oily skin, but I was surprised at how much it dried my skin. Stripping so much oil from skin will usually cause it to produce even more oil to combat the dryness, and that's counterproductive. This cycle can end up making skin more congested and breakouts worse, so I guess that's why I was so surprised at how drying this cleanser is for skin. I would have to say that even if your skin does run quite oily, you might want to start out only using it every other day to see how your skin will react. Regarding the aesthetics of this cleanser, it smells quite good, lathers well, and rinses clean. I didn't need much, about half a pump, to have enough to wash my face. I still have quite a bit of this left after having it for several months because I use it once a week, maybe twice, as a deep cleanser and it works well for this purpose. I follow it up with a moisturizing face mask and a good beauty product for moisturizer.
