| Review | Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads

I think everyone needs to include a chemical exfoliant in their routine, it is completely different and very dramatic result compared to using a physical exfoliator. This is one of those change your life and routine kind of products. I remember when I first tried my first acid peel product, I be came hooked instantly because the results are pretty much instantaneous and they just get better! If you have textured skin and you really want to smooth it out, invest in a really good chemical exfoliating routine, ti will change your life! I personally think everyone should invest in quality chemical exofoliants. I was so excited when Elemis kindly sent me these Resurfacing Pads to review.

The Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads retail for $59.00 USD for 60 pads and is available at Elemis and other retailers. These pre-soaked pads are sealed in a large plastic tub, pretty typical of this kind of product. As long as you close the tub well, these definitely will not dry out. The pads a very well saturated with product, enough for your entire face and decolletage. Thse pads are intended to be used as both a physical and chemical exfoliator. There are two sides to each cotton pad, one is more textured, the other is smooth.

After I have thoroughly removed my makeup with the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm (review here). I then cleansed with the Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash (review here), which is a gentle daily exfoliating cleanser, I take one pad with the more textured side and sweep it all over my face in circular motions. I would recommend using these pads no more than twice a week because you don't want to over exfoliate your skin. That can cause damage to your new skin cells. As soon as you start sweeping the pad over your skin, you will immediately see a brightening and illuminating effect! It is very satisfying to see the instant glow this product gives you by removing all dead and old skin cells! I massage this pad all over for a minute or so, concentrating on areas where I have lots of texture of blocked pores. I had recently developed milia, little bumps created by blocked and clogged pores, around my eyes from using this eye cream. I had been reading a lot about using exfoliants to help reduce and get rid of them so I concentrated on the areas where I had the milia. I would be very careful about using it around your eyes, if you have sensitive eyes because it is an acid. So use this around your eyes at your own risk. I didn't have any issue with using this near my eyes and experienced no burning or negative side effects. After you are done with the pad, you will feel a a slightly tingly sensation, not burning or stinging, but almost a soft fuzzy tingle. It is like the sensation you have when your foot falls asleep, it is quite nice. That's how you know the product is doing it's work.

After using the Resurfacing Pad all over my face, I went in with the rest of my evening routine which consists of the Elemis Pro-Collagen Super Serum Elixir (review here), which is an ultra-nourishing and rich serum-oil hybrid. Then I went in with the Elemis Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream and applied that all over. In the morning, my skin was SO SOFT and GLOWING! My skin really drank up the serum and cream overnight and it looked and felt so incredible in the morning! I also noticed a significant reduction in the size of the milia around my eyes! Over one night of use! This product really does retexturize and resurface the skin! Another area I often have texture is on and around my nose, which felt very smooth and over time, is now completely smooth!

After the first night of using these pads, my skin looked so good, I went without foundation. I applied my Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream SPF30. It is crucial that you use an SPF daily but especially after you have used a peel or acid because it makes your skin sensitive to sunlight. You need to protect the fresh new skin cells that are now exposed by using an sun protection. Anyways, then I applied the Elemis Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm (review here), which is beautiful hydrating and illuminating clear balm. I often use this as primer but it is really beautiful alone. It really help enhance my already glowing skin. All I needed after that was to spot conceal with a super light concealer, I opted for the Hourglass Veil Retouching Fluid (review here) because it isn't a concealer, it has a super lightweight finish and texture. Then I used my Armani Neo Nude (review here) products to enhance my complexion and the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand for extra glow (review here).

I have to say that I am OBSESSED with these Resurfacing Pads! They really transform your skin, especially if you use them consistently. They really help exfoliate and remove dead skin cells but they go beyond that and completely renew the texture of your skin. This has to be the easiest way to exfoliate your skin and get instant results! The product goes very deep into the pores and the ingredients really work to unclog and smooth over the texture of your skin. I have seen a significant reduction in the milia around my eyes, since I started using it! My skin is also always baby soft and it seems to be so much plumper and fresher in the mornings because it is absorbing so much nutrients from my skincare products! I can't say enough great things about this product! It has become a must-have in my weekly routine and I find I only need to use it once a week to maintain amazing results!
