Elemis never ceases to amaze me with their unique and innovative product line. I have long awaited for a serum-oil hybrid product, especially since my skin is so dry. This Pro-Collagen Super Serum Elixir goes above and beyond my expectations and was so kindly sent by Elemis.
The Elemis Pro-Collagen Super Serum Elixir retails for $78.50 USD for 15ml and is available at Elemis. The serum is packaged in a beautiful metallic aqua bottle to match the rest of the Pro-Collagen line. If you haven't tried their Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, it is their bestseller and for a good reason! I always pair the Super Serum with the Marine Cream for the ultimate anti-aging treatment. The serum's bottle has a pump mechanism that is very easy to control the amount needed however, I think one pump is the perfect amount for the entire face and neck.
Prior to dispensing the product, I recommend shaking the bottle to ensure the oil and the serum is properly mixed. The serum feels very nourishing and hydrating upon application. You can tell there is an oil in the product but because of the hydrating and rich texture but it doesn't feel greasy or overwhelming. I feel safe saying it will work for all skin types as an evening treatment. I have always found because of the high-quality ingredients in Elemis products, that I have never had a problem with breakouts or irritation. The serum has a creamy texture because of the serum and oil combined. It glides on to the skin and instantly plumps the skin and adds a healthy glow all over. When I wake up, my skin is so plump, hydrated, and nourished! You know your skin is really nourished when you wake up with a glow and some residual product still on your skin, it mean your skin is fully saturated! It feels so good to wake up and your skin is fresh and hydrated. My skin feels so hydrated that I often feel I don't need a moisturizer but I will always apply a light one to prep my skin. My skin also feels very soft, that baby-skin feeling is a good indication that your products are really working! I often find typical serums don't provide enough hydration for the skin and seem to disappear instantly after application but this product continues to provide hydration for hours! This serum has helped my skin look and feel so healthy! It has really changed my skincare routine! The potent anti-aging ingredients have really made my skin glow and improved the texture of my skin. This is one of my hero products from Elemis and is an essential in my Pro-Collagen routine!

Ingredients of Pro-Collagen Super Serum ElixirThe serum contains a blend of three potent peptides, that help trigger the production of collagen which is essential in increasing elasticity and prevent signs of aging. You will notice an immediate plumping and smoothing effect on your skin. After prolonged use, you will really see and feel the difference in your skin. It will feel firmer and you will see your fine lines plump out and look smoother. The African Birch Bark contained in this product is essential for protecting the skin and like hyaluronic acid, it retains moisture and allows for better moisture absorption. It is also an anti-inflammatory ingredient and is a skin energizer, promoting a glow in dull skin. This is obvious when you work this product into your skin, you will see a healthy glow emanate from the skin, not just from the oils sitting on top. It is also a carrier oil, meaning it helps with the absorption of other essential oils in the product. Red Seaweed, also known as algae, has powerful antioxidants and vitamins that nourish and prevent signs of aging. Padina pavonica, also found in algae, helps protect the skin from extreme conditions and has restorative properties. This protective ingredient helps rebuild the skin and protect the sensitive outside barrier. While I don't often use this product during the day time, it's protective properties is the reason why I used this product prior to heading on my snowboarding trip, it really helped protect and nourish my skin in the freezing conditions.

My evening Elemis skincare routine typically consists of:
Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm (full review here) to remove makeup and for a first round cleanse. Them I go in with the Elemis Gentle Foaming Facial Wash (full review here) to really cleanse my skin and ensure I remove all the dirt and makeup. I follow up with my Elemis Pro-Collagen Super Serum Elixir and some nights I will use my dermaroller for extra absorption and to promote more collagen production (see my micro-needling experience here). Then I finish off my routine with some version (Classic, Oxygenating Night or Ultra-Rich) of the Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, depending on the condition of my skin at the moment.
