| Review | Elemis Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm
The key to beautiful makeup is a good skincare routine and when skincare companies make makeup products, you know they are going to be targeted toward treating the skin. Elemis has become one of my favorite skincare brands and since I started using their products, my skin has looked amazing! I reached out to Elemis about their Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm because there is nothing more that I love than a good skincare-makeup hybrid.
The Elemis Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm retails for $60.00 USD for 50ml and $20.70 for 15ml (travel size) and is available at Elemis and other retailers. This illuminating balm is housed in a simple plastic tube for easy distribution of product and it's travel-friendly, too! The product claims to brighten, smooth, and moisturize, which it does all of this very well. It has a very fresh fragrance that make it very refreshing to apply.

The balm is a sheer milky color and becomes invisible on the skin, making it perfect for all skin tones. It leaves a very healthy glowing radiance of healthy and hydrated skin. This product contains no shimmer or reflect, it just greats a healthy veil over the skin, which makes it great for all ages and for mature skin types. The glow is fresh and not overwhelmingly luminous, making it great for oily skin types as well. This is a product that can be worn on alone for a fresh and natural glow or underneath your base for a subtle luminosity.
Smoothing
It smells very fresh and the product smooths over texture on the skin, disguising dry spots and minor lines. As someone who regularly suffers from dryness, I am always looking for a hydrating primer to disguise and treat my skin. This product does both very well because of it's balmy and hydrating texture. The balm is hydrating but also creates a very smooth finish to the skin without feeling heavy or like there is an additional layer on the skin. What I love most about this primer is that although it has smoothing properties, it is done without silicone, which means you don't get that slippery or greasy kind of texture on the skin. Base makeup sits very well on top and this primer doesn't control for oil but does help with the longevity of my base makeup.

The texture is very balmy and hydrating without any greasy or sticky texture or residue. It feels hydrating enough to be worn without any additional moisturizer underneath. It has a very fresh and cool feeling on the skin. The balm is formulated with a vitamin complex that prevents moisture loss, which is much needed as you wear your makeup throughout the day. I often feel my skin gets tighter and more uncomfortable throughout the day if I don't prep my skin properly with my skincare and primer. I love that this product is an all-in-one product that provides skincare benefits and treatment as it primes my skin for makeup. Purple orchid, noni, and acai are three powerful anti-aging ingredients that provide antioxidants, retains moisture, and brightens the complexion.

Final Thoughts
This balm is beautiful on its own for a healthy skin look and works exceptionally well as a primer for days when you need some coverage. Makeup blends and adheres very well on top of this product. While this product doesn't control for oil, it still maintains a pretty flawless base for hours. Sometimes I will use this product as my moisturizer and primer because it is so hydrating! I have been a long time fan of the Elemis skincare range and this skincare-makeup hybrid is my favorite new addition to my routine, especially for the colder months! When I use this product, my skin always looks radiant, smooth, and youthful. I often get compliments about my skin and I am very fortunate to have good genetics but I am also very particular about the products I use on my skin. Which is why often gravitate toward makeup-skincare hybrids. I highly recommend this product because it really primes your skin but also treats it throughout the day!
