| Review | Natasha Denona Bronze Face Glow Palette

When I heard the words "Bronze Glow", I went dashing for credit card. Not only am I a huge fan these Natasha Denona cheek palettes but I love a bronze glow any day of the week. You can find my review of the Love Glow Cheek Palette here and the Tan & Bronze Glow Palette here. Perfect for summer, this mixture of glowing champagne and warm bronzes is similar to the Tan & Bronze Palette. So if you have the Tan & Bronze, do you need this one too? Read on to find out.

The Natasha Denona Bronze Face Glow Palette retails for $55.00 USD and is available at Sephora and other retailers. Packaged similarly to the other Glow Palettes, the magnetic compact is composed of a lightweight plastic. It is a very sturdy plastic compact because I have traveled with these palettes before without an issue. I also really appreciate the plastic covering over the cream products, separating and protecting them from getting contaminated by the powder products.

SHADES

This palette doesn't exactly scream bronze to me, maybe more golden? The shades are very warm and summery but lean on the gold side. This may be because they wanted to create something different from the Tan & Bronze palette, which leans quite bronze.

Bounce Glow Cream Base - This shade is a white gold pearl with a pink reflect. While it doesn't sound like a natural shade, it actually offers quite a natural and subtle glow on the skin. It's a very unique highlighter where the highlighter isn't super shimmer but instead has a light base that helps it glow on the skin.

Bounce Cream Blush - This rose gold with a golden bronze undertone is a stunning summertime blush! This shade has just enough rosiness to give your skin a bit of a flush but its golden bronze finish adds the perfect amount of warmth to the skin. You don't even really feel the need for a bronzer because this blush perfect in-between shade.

Super Glow Bronze - This shade is a very warm coppery amber with a bronze undertone and strong golden shimmer. This shade is very pigmented with a lot of shimmers and a metallic finish.

Super Glow Nude - This shade is a soft and sheer champagne with a subtle peachy-pink undertone. The fine shimmer in this powder is a light yellow-gold shade that is very reflective.

COMPARISON SWATCHES

It's a little strange but when compared to the Tan Palette, the Bronze Palette looks more gold than bronze. I think the Tan Palette is a truer bronze-toned palette with its bronzer and bronze cream shade. The Bronze Palette leans much more golden with gold shimmer littered throughout the palette and some of the shades leaning quite rosy.

FORMULA

The intention of this palette is to use all the product simultaneously on the face; however, I have found that using them all at once is often too much shimmer and glow, even for a glow-lover like me! While I find the products layer beautifully on top of one another, I find that even on my skin, which has no texture, it creates such a heavy texture on the cheeks. I love a glow but I prefer something just a touch more natural. I would be very careful about layering these products together and picking up too much product. However, when used thoughtfully, this palette creates a beautiful and radiant complexion that is so dreamy!

Bounce Cream Formula

The formula for the Bronze Face Glow Palette is quite different from the previous palettes. This palette includes the new "bounce" formula, which is a dry cream with a bouncy texture. This formula is very similar to the Colourpop Super Shock Highlighter formula. When you press your fingers into this cream, the product moves around and you can easily leave a deep indent with your finger. It has a smushy and bouncy putty texture that is new to the Natasha Denona range.

Texture of the Bounce Cream formula when used

These bounce products have a sheer pigmentation but they can be built up very easily. I think this is ideal for a cheek product and it makes it versatile for use on a wide variety of skin tones. These leave a shiny stain finish to the skin. which is so unique and beautiful. It remains me of a satin ribbon, reflecting just enough but not emphasizing texture. I love this formula because the shimmers are extremely fine and it's really the base color that is the star of the show. It just gives the most beautiful glossy satin glow to the skin! No heavy shimmer, no enlarged pores.

I personally prefer to use just the bounce products together because they create an ethereal and soft radiance that is seamless and flawless! This formula just melts into the skin beautifully and just makes the skin look flawless. They have enough pigment on their own to give you a fresh and healthy look without looking like heavy makeup. My only concern with this formula is that it may dry out in the pan quicker than the previous cream formulas, which were more emollient and creamy on the skin.

Super Glow Formula

The two Super Glow powders vary quite wildly. The Super Glow Bronze is a very shimmery and metallic finish powder. This powder is very pigmented and packs a punch of color onto the cheeks. Even a little dab of product will leave you with a serious warm amber glow. This shade is a great pop of color on the apples of the cheek. I personally think it looks best on its own and not layered over the cream products. It has so much intensity and shimmer on its own that it is overwhelming when combined with the cream products. This shade is also a beautiful eyeshadow shade and makes a great monochromatic pairing when using the rest of the palette on the cheeks.

The Super Glow Nude shade is quite sheer and it takes several layers to get actual color on the skin. This is preferred though since this product is a highlighter. This shade has a very sheer base and the fine reflective shimmers twinkle on the skin, creating a beautiful highlight on all skin tones. This shade is much softer in texture than the bronze shade and it really glides onto the skin effortlessly. This shade can be layered over the cream products for more intensity but I think all the products stand-alone so well, that it is unnecessary.

THE LOOK

I personally prefer the look of just the Bounce Cream products together without the powders on top. So, I'm going to show you what that looks like compared to all the products layered together. Here are just the cream products on the cheeks and you can see how perfectly seamless and glowy it looks. It's just enough glow for my taste. I applied the Bounce Cream Blush all-over the cheek area and the Bounce Cream Base along my cheekbones.

Here are all the products layered. The look is way too intense for me and overdone for my taste. I know it doesn't capture as "intense" in the photos but in real life, I find it to be a lot of makeup when all layered together. I also find that it emphasizes texture on the skin. I used the Bounce Cream Blush all-over the cheek area and the Bounce Cream Base along my cheekbones. Then I added the Super Glow Bronze just on the very apples of my cheeks and the Super Glow Nude on top of the Bounce Cream Base.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I didn't think I would like this palette nearly as much as I do. In fact, I think I actually may like it more than the Tan palette! The Bounce Cream formula is a HUGE win for me! I think the smooth and creamy texture is beautiful to work with and it sits on the skin so perfectly. This formula adds the perfect amount of glow without emphasizing texture but it almost blurs the texture. This formula really melts into the skin and looks flawless. All the colors in the palette work so well together to create a cohesive look. Though I don't prefer layering all the products, I like to use some on the cheeks and the others on the eyes for a beautiful complementing look. I've always been a huge fan of these palettes and I love this one! I highly recommend it for anyone who loves a bronze or golden glow. The shades are very universally flattering and the formulas are a delight to use. I can't recommend this palette enough! I just hope in the future, maybe we can get some of these shades as individuals because the cream products are truly my favorite and phenomenal!
