| Review | Elemis Gentle Foaming Facial Wash

Many people will say a face cleanser is a cleanser. They don't see the difference from one to another. For example, my boyfriend will wash his face with scented body wash, despite the fact that I have a million face cleansers that he can use! To me this causes me to cringe every time but some people just have skin that can tolerate any product being used on it. For me, cleanser is much more of an important choice, my dry skin doesn't tolerate harsh soaps or heavy fragrances as well. Which is why I often gravitate toward gentle cleansers like this one that was kindly sent to me by Elemis.

The Elemis Gentle Foaming Facial Wash retails for $36.00 USD for 150ml and is available on Elemis. This massive tube of cleanser is easily enough to last me a year or longer. I'd like to reiterate the value you get when you buy Elemis products. Seriously, for the quality, ingredients, and volume, you are getting a deal with most of their products. Especially staples like cleanser, which for most people is used everyday and you don't want to buy multiple bottles throughout the year. This Elemis staple comes such a great size for the price, you really can't go wrong!

The cleanser is a cream texture and you really only need about a dime-sized amount. The cleanser lightly foams and feels very creamy on the skin. It is so gentle and nourishing while cleansing the skin. I love creamy cleansers that just glide over the skin and feel like a treatment more than a cleanser. The cleanser removes product and dirt quite well but I always recommend removing your makeup prior to cleansing, I recommend the Elemis Cleansing Balm (full review here). After cleansing my skin with this product, my skin feel super soft and it absorbs product so well! Cleansing my skin daily, whether I wear makeup or not, is very important to me and important for my skin's health. However, I don't want my daily cleansing routine to strip my skin of its natural oils. I want my skin to feel balanced and nourished, which is how I feel after using this product. The facial wash does not have any strong or noticeable fragrance, which is great for all skin types and reduces any chances of a reaction or irritation from the product.

My dry skin appreciates this gentle cleanser and the ingredients inside it. I am always willing to try different products but ingredients are very important to me, especially when it comes to skincare. I think brands should always be thoughtful about what they put inside their products, which is why I tend to gravitate toward higher end brands, known for quality ingredients. I feel Elemis is always thoughtful about their ingredients and ensuring their ingredients treat the skin and not just do its job. I highly recommend this cleanser for all skin types! It is so gentle, effective, and contains high quality ingredients.
