| Review | Charlotte Tilbury Quick & Easy Makeup
I feel like Charlotte Tilbury may have read my mind because all I want these days is quick and easy makeup! This little multipurpose cream trio is the exact kind of thing that minimalist beauty-lover needs in their collection! While many will find this launch extremely boring, I find it very functional. When it comes to daily makeup, you really don’t want something complicated or fussy. In fact, I often find myself reaching for the same few products because I just don’t have time to pick out a new selection of products for every single day. Enter in this box of essentials!
The Charlotte Tilbury Quick & Easy Makeup retails got $75.00 USD and is available at Charlotte Tilbury and other retailers. The three products are housed in a convenient and compact little case, a little larger and chunkier than a wallet but still very compact. If you're thinking $75 is a lot to pay, it is! The products aren't very big but have a pretty big price tag. You can buy the product individually, to refill your kit and the pricing is:
Easy Highlighter Wand - $27.00 USD each
Easy Eye Wand - $20.00 USD each
Easy Lip & Cheek Wand - $27.00 USD each
This means that buying the kit doesn't save you any money and you actually only pay $1.00 more for all the packaging. Of course, if you have one of these kits and you want the other shades, it's nice that you can purchase the other shades individually. I love the concept of this refillable kit but I do find it quite pricey, even for a luxury beauty brand. I do love the compact packaging and how travel-friendly the whole kit is but the cost is very high for how basic these kits are.
SHADES
There are currently five all-inclusive kits, each with three products inside - Sunkissed, Date Night, Super Chic, Golden Glow, and Pretty Fresh. I chose the Super Chic kit, which is designed to create a chic and polished everyday look. It is currently the only kit with a matte eyeshadow, which is what drew me to the kit in the first place. The products and shades included in this kit are:
Super Chic Easy Eye Wand - This shade is a matte warm medium brown shade, which will suit most skin tones. This shade may not suit olive to deep skin tones because it may not show up on deeper skin tones.
Super Chic Easy Lip & Cheek Wand - This shade is a warm coppery terracotta-pink shade that should suit most skin tones. It's a very versatile shade that looks good on both the lips and cheeks.
Super Chic Easy Highlighter Wand - This shade is a translucent champagne with a subtle cool pink tone. The reflects only have a subtle impact on the skin. The highlighter isn't so much about its color but more about the glossy texture it gives the skin.

FORMULA
What I will say about all the products is that they're all a lot smaller than I expected. Especially, for such a high price. I understand that you're getting three products but none of them are full sized and the miniature size is quite small. If you think you're going to get value from buying this set, you're not. You're paying for the convivence of having everything you need bundled together in one package.
Easy Eye Wand
This cream eyeshadow stick is incredibly creamy and very pigmented. You really only need to swipe on a little bit and start blending. I highly recommend applying a very little at a time because a little goes a long way. The formula is very creamy and blendable so, it spreads out quite easily. I usually just apply a bit at the lash line and then use my finger or, sometimes, a brush to blend out the eyeshadow. This formula really is a one-and-done formula! You can easily build up the pigment in areas where you want more color an diffuse it, where you want it to look lighter. Although it has a very creamy and blendable formula, once it sets, it really lasts well on the eyes. I find that I don't need primer at all for this eyeshadow to last eight hours but I also don't have oily lids. This formula plays well with other products too so, if you want to layer on other eyeshadows or eyeliner, it works beautifully. I honestly think the eyeshadows are the best part of these kits.
Easy Lip & Cheek Wand
This product has a nice rich pigment, not as much as a lipstick but more like a pigmented cream blush. This is a nice buildable pigment, which makes it easy to apply and blend, especially on-the-go. This multi-purpose product has a very light texture and doesn't feel like much on the skin. It glides on really smoothly and easily but also, blends into the skin very easily. I have used my fingers to blend this blush into the sin after I have swiped it on the desired areas. It leaves a very fresh and slightly dewy finish to the skin. It blends very seamlessly into the texture of the skin and doesn't emphasize texture.
On the lips, it has a texture similar to a very thin lipstick. It isn't exactly my favorite as a lip color because while it does deposit a nice even color across the lips, it's not a comfortable formula to wear on the lips. It's not uncomfortable but I have lip colors that are much more comfortable than using this product. It's feels thin and a touch dry on the lips. In a pinch and on-the-go, it makes sense to use this product but I prefer keeping this exclusively to the cheeks.
Easy Highlighter Wand
This highlighter is a sheer glossy cream with some very fine iridescence running through cream. The iridescent reflects is a fine pink-champagne pearl that doesn't look to stark on the skin because of the glossy translucent base. The reflects are very fine and they don't emphasize texture or pores. The reflects lean subtly on the cooler side but this shade will look good on all skin tones. It gives the cheekbones a pop but it still maintains a natural look, thanks to the glossy texture that blends seamlessly into the skin. The texture of this highlighter stick is very smooth and despite it being glossy, it doesn't fee sticky or tacky at all on the skin. It just feels very lightweight and adds very minimal texture to the skin. It makes the skin look very hydrated, fresh, and dewy. If you have a more oily skin type, this may not be for you. You may feel that this highlighter makes you look oily.
THE LOOK
You can see how this kit is very cohesive. All the shades and products work so well together and really beautifully enhance the complexion. I don't have any mascara on in this picture because I did end up adding more to my eyes, like eyeliner. I also didn't use the Easy Lip & Cheek Wand on the lips. You can see how glowing my complexion appears with all these products on my face. I also have the Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Sun-Kissed Glow Bronzer (review coming soon).
FINAL THOUGHTS
While I love the concept of this convenient and travel-friendly all-in-one makeup kit, it is incredibly expensive for what it is. I don't think the convenience is worth the price. You really aren't getting any unique product, the products are really small, and the products are very basic. While I've enjoyed the kit that I own, as someone with such a big makeup collection, I have many similar products in my collection that are also, almost just as travel-friendly. I like the concept of a pocket-sized kit but I don't often do my makeup on-the-go and I only see this kit as convenient when traveling. This is a great kit for someone who truly wears and owns little to no makeup because the products are designed to be maximized and multipurpose. Realistically, I would use this kit but I would also add more products, like eyeliner, mascara, and a lip color. If you feel this way too, then, this product probably isn't for you. I admit, I have gotten good use out of this product but I still don't think it is worth such a high price tag. I think it really depends on the person because there are definitely people who will love this and get so much use out of it but as a beauty addict, it doesn't give me as much value as my other products do.
