This instant tan product came in at the perfect time for me! My birthday is at the end of September and I wanted to wear a skirt for my birthday dinner but I realized with all the time I've been spending inside this summer, my legs are looking a little sad complexion-wise. They are certainly several shades lighter than my arms and face. Plus, I am a clumsy person, which means I tend to have a random bruise or two on my legs. Since I didn't plan out or have time for a self-tan prep, this Instant Tan came in at the perfect time for my birthday night out. This review is sponsored by Bali Body but as always, these are my own honest thoughts about the product.

The Bali Body Instant Tan retails for $24.95 and is available at Bali Body. This product is packaged in a beautiful and modern metallic rose gold aluminum spray can. This packaging looks very chic and it serves a very important purpose of evenly applying the instant tan to the skin. This is an aerosol type of product that sprays a fine mist across the skin that can be blended. 

SHADES 

This product is essentially body makeup and it comes in two versatile and flexible shades, light to medium and medium to dark. Since the formula is very flexible and versatile, these shades will work for all skin tones. It really just depends on how deep you'd like to go with your instant tan. Each shade spans a range of tan shades, which allows you to really customize your tan tone. 

Light to Medium - With this shade, you can get an instant tan from a light-medium tan tone to a deep medium tan.

FORMULA 

This body bronzer is dispensed through an aerosol can. While it does dispense like an airbrush, you can get a heavy concentration of product so, I recommend spraying from at least five to six inches away from your skin. Also, since this formula dries quite quickly, I highly recommend working in small sections! I can't emphasize how quickly this dries! I was actually quite surprised and I am glad I decided to work in small sections the first time I used this. Once this formula dries and sets to the skin, it doesn't move until you wash it off! It is an impressively long-wearing formula, that can last well beyond eight hours, as long as you're not profusely sweating. 

I start with shaking the bottle really well and then I spray a little bit on a section of my skin, then I immediately go in with the Body Blending Brush and start blending in product all over. The Body Blending Brush retails for $25.95 and is available at Bali Body. This brush is a black-haired synthetic brush with incredibly soft bristles! The silky black bristles are very dense and it creates a very nice dense and flat surface for blending this very light bronzer. I would not recommend using your hands with this formula because it is so quick drying and you may get a streaky application once it dries. With the brush and working in sections, my tan looks so seamless and flawless! 

This instant tan is quite pigmented but is sheered out by the application method, which is good because you want a formula that is fool-proof and buildable. One sheer layer makes my skin look about two shades darker and you can always layer on more if you want a deeper tan! It provides a very very sheer coverage so, don't expect it to cover any bruises or heavy discoloration. This product also doesn't have any shimmer to it, it is just a bronze pigment.

This formula is truly fool-proof for those who are new to fake tan or those who aren't very experienced with fake tan. I will admit that I have very little experience using fake tan and I often prefer a gradual tan because it is so much more forgiving. However, I don't always have time or remember to start my gradual tan routine days before my event or occasion. This is where an instant tan comes in so handy!

I had a spontaneous dinner with my fiance's colleagues the other night and I was wearing shorts but my legs were several shades lighter than the rest of my body. I just spritzed this instant tan on and blended it in, within 15 minutes I had beautifully tanned and flawless-looking legs! I love having an instant tan for moments like this since I am not a habitual false tan user. It gives me the perfect warm glow and it doesn't smell like fake tan or anything. No one will know your tan isn't real! 

Since I was going to back-to-back spontaneous dinners, I actually applied the Bali Body Gradual Tan underneath my Bali Body Instant Tan to allow it to develop overnight. So, the Instant Tan gave me a beautiful instant glow to my skin but as the night went on and my gradual tan developed underneath, I was able to achieve a deeper bronze glow. This is one of my go-to routines since I'm not so great with self-tanner and I rarely like to use anything other than gradual tan. 

FINAL THOUGHTS 

This instant tan is a product that you're missing from your routine that you never knew you were missing! I have never been good about maintaining a self-tan routine or self-tanning in general, which is why I have historically only used gradual tan. However, this product changes the game for me! This is essentially body makeup and I'm great with makeup! This instant tan is so easy to use, it literally only takes me a few minutes to achieve a flawless tan! This formula dries quickly, is transfer-proof, and it lasts on the skin! When I want a tan, I can now always have a tan with minimal effort. I am so incredibly impressed with this latest innovation from Bali Body! I highly recommend checking out both the Instant Tan and the Body Blending Brush! Tanning was never this easy and foolproof until I got my hands on this beauty and I think you'll agree after you give it a try.
