We can't all travel to Paris right now but the new By Terry Bonjour Paris Palette is a beautiful glimpse of Paris in a palette! Like their previous Paris palettes, this one is packed with universally flattering shades and the spirit of Parisian beauty. This compact palette had my heart racing and me swooning as soon as I saw images of it. This glamorous will suit every skin tone and every age group. It is a luxurious formula that will have you reaching for it regularly. I was very kindly gifted the palette from By Terry. 

The By Terry V.I.P. Expert Bonjour Paris Palette retails for $56.00 USD and is available at By Terry, Beautylish, and other retailers. This beautiful palette is housed in a small and compact square palette. The palette is in a reflective rose gold packaging with a beautiful Paris scene. The plastic palette is lightweight and sleek, which makes it so luxurious and perfect for traveling. 

SHADES 

This palette contains soft neutral shades that will suit every skin tone. Many of the shades lean a bit rosy or have a touch gold. The variety is beautiful for creating a multitude of looks for day or night! This is definitely a universally flattering and appealing palette for all ages, skin tones, and genders.

Shimmering Gold - This shade is a shimmering metallic gold with a subtle pink-taupe undertone. It's a stunning dirty light gold. 

Pink Champagne - This shade is a light pink champagne with a strong gold reflect. 

Amber Bronze - This shade is a rich and warm amber bronze shade with a very strong warm gold shimmer throughout.

Milk Chocolate - This shade looks like creamy milk chocolate but on the skin, it's more of a medium bronze with a very fine gold sheen. 

Soft Taupe - This shade is a cool and soft medium taupe shade with a soft sheen. 

Warm Chocolate - This deep and rich chocolate shade has a strong golden shimmer throughout it.

Shimmering Copper - This strong and vibrant copper shade has a very warm tone and strong amber golden shimmer. 

Soft Ballet Pink - This shade is a soft ballet pink with a peachy undertone and a soft subtle silvery sheen. 

Duochrome Pink Gold - This shade appears like a light bronze in the pan but on the skin, it is a pink gold duochrome eyeshadow. The base is a soft and warm pink. The reflect is a very strong yellow gold shade.

FORMULA 

This palette contains two distinct formulas and finishes, matte and creamy metallic. This palette contains finishes and tones that allow you to create a wide variety of looks. I have always appreciated the versatility and wearable design of the By Terry palettes. I always feel like there is a lot of thought put into the craftsmanship of these palettes and the formulas.

All the eyeshadows have a rich pigment and creamy texture. They all feel incredibly silky and smooth! They feel even silkier than the other palettes from the range! I didn't think their eyeshadows could get better but this palette is truly exceptional! The silky and smooth texture allows the eyeshadows to glide onto the lids effortlessly and they blend out beautifully. These eyeshadows practically blend themselves as you apply them but don't worry, they don't just blend away. 

The eyeshadows wear so beautifully! I find that without an eyeshadow primer they wear for solid eight-plus hours without fading, creasing, or breaking down. The eyeshadows stay true to color throughout the day and the pigment remains vibrant. 

Matte 

The shades that are considered "matte", I would consider more of a satin finish because they all have a soft sheen. I actually prefer this texture because it has a soft glow to it that looks really ethereal and beautiful on the eyes. The soft sheen offers more dimension to the eyes and complexity than a matte eyeshadow. The fine shimmers prevent the eyeshadow from looking so flat on the eyes but it also means that it offers a softer definition to the eyes. Since these aren't true mattes, the contrast in textures is not as dramatic but if you want a more dramatic look, you can achieve it by using more contrasting shades. These are the silkiest and softest textures in the palette, which makes them feel so decadent and luxurious. I think these are my favorite shades and formula from the brand! I would love a palette of just these satiny matte shades! 

Creamy Metallic 

The creamy metallics are literally very creamy! They have a very smooth, dense, and creamy texture. They feel like a cream eyeshadow with the slightly denser powder texture and they glide onto the eyes like a powder. The beauty of this dense powder formula is that it delivers a creamy texture that doesn't crease! These metallics look rich, intense, and reflective. The shimmer and reflection in the eyeshadows are very refined and sophisticated. It isn't a tacky frosty look. These metallics don't emphasize texture on the eyes but they still offer a really intense glow. You can blend these metallic shades out and let the undertones of the eyeshadows shine so more. That's the beauty of these complex and duochome shadows. You can really use one eyeshadow all over the lid but as you blend and work with the shadow, it transforms into another shade. 

THE LOOK 

For this soft and smokey look, I started with the Soft Taupe shade in the crease of my eye. Then, I added the Milk Chocolate shade in the outer corner and outer crease for more definition. I applied the Soft Ballet Pink all over the inner two-thirds of the eye. I added even more depth with the Warm Chocolate in the very outer corner. I applied the Pink Champagne shade in the very inner corner for a pop of inner corner highlight. This look is just so soft and flattering for a night out or just for a glam day look. The eyeshadows are so easy to use and blend to create a softer and seamless look. 

FINAL THOUGHTS 

This palette is as dreamy and luxurious as it looks in the pan! The formula is just so creamy and silky, more so than previous palettes! I'm just so impressed with the effortless way these apply and blend. You really hardly have to put in any effort! The colors are so cohesive and complimentary but they also have some contrast in tones to bring complexity to any look you decide to try. I think the shades lend themselves to being used any time of the day and for any occasion because they are so wearable and versatile. I really can't see anyone disliking the shades in this palette because they really are so universally appealing! The sleek and convenient compact makes it so easy to store and travel with. It really has everything I want in an everyday palette. It is convenient, easy to use, and versatile! I think this palette may be the best one By Terry has come out with yet! I really can't recommend this palette enough! This is one they really should make permanent because it is just so good! If you need one palette for every day, this is definitely one you need to consider!
