Like the rest of the world, I have found myself spending most of my time indoors these days. However, even if I wasn't I am all for protecting my face from the sun. which means I don't get much of a tan on my face. Plus, I am an avid user of exfoliants so, I am always in desperate need of a tan, which is why I layer on the bronzer. Naturally, when Bali Body reached out to me about reviewing their new Gradual Face Tan, I was so excited! I have worked with Bali Body for years now and there isn't a product I didn't love. The Bali Body Gradual Face Tan retails for $32.95 USD and it is available at Bali Body. This gradual tan cream is housed in a beautiful and simple white and rosy nude jar with a pump top. I really love this type of packaging because it is very sanitary. As you pump the top, the product dispenses through the small hole in the middle and you don't have to dip your fingers into a jar of cream and contaminate the product. This is by far, one of my favorite packaging types. 

FORMULA 

I find that I only need one to two pumps to cover my face, neck, and decolletage. It really depends on how far you want to take your tan down. My face, neck, and decolletage are significantly lighter than the rest of my body because I exfoliate these areas the most and cover these areas in sunscreen daily. I will even take it onto my shoulders where I have tan lines and it works great for evening out those areas! Since these areas don't get much sunlight, I've been looking for something to even out my skin tone without using foundation or bronzer. This gradual face tan moisturizer is truly a gamechanger because not only is it a gradual tan but it's also skincare! 

This moisturizer is completely white when it comes out of the jar and goes onto the skin invisibly. It has a lightweight cream texture that feels really hydrating but doesn't look or feel greasy. I apply this moisturizer without any other skincare products. I just cleanse the skin well and exfoliate for my first application. It creates a very fresh and glowing moisturizer veil over the skin but it doesn't look oily. I will say that all skin types can use this moisturizer because the consistency and formula are perfectly hydrating. Even without any other skincare products on my skin, my skin stays hydrated all day long and my skin feels plump. It really feels like skincare and not like a gradual tan! 

Since I have been wearing less makeup during the day, I just like using this in the mornings to hydrate and give me a growing glow. Having a tan makes my complexion looking more lively, healthy, and perfected without makeup. With the color developing throughout the day, plus the hydrated and healthy look it provides for the skin, I feel much better going makeup-free day to day. I will also use this in the evenings and I have not noticed any tan transferring to my sheets. When you wake up, you will have a beautiful healthy glow to your skin! 

I will say that this moisturizer does have a faint "tan scent". If you using tanning products, you will know what this smells like. It's kind of a "biscuit-like" fragrance. This scent is very light but I do occasionally smell it throughout the day. It isn't that obvious and isn't bothersome. My fiance is very sensitive to fragrance and he will comment about it if it bothers him but he didn't notice this at all on my face. 

This gradual tan works fast! The first time I applied it, I applied it in the morning and by mid-day (five hours later), I noticed an immediate light tan to my skin! It had already evened out my skin tone by at least one shade. As you continue to use this moisturizer, you will gain at least a shade or two every time you use it. Your tan will last really and really depends on how long you've been using the moisturizer (so the intensity of your tan) and how much you exfoliate your skin. The more you exfoliate your skin, the faster the tan will wear away. The tan it gives you looks so incredibly natural and real. It always looks even and flawless on the skin. Even as it wears away, it wears away evenly and looks natural. 

This is exactly what I want from my gradual tan! I want it to be easy to apply, easy to use, applies evenly, looks, natural, lasts on the skin, but also treats my skin! I love that I don't have to compromise my skincare routine for my tanning routine! 

FINAL THOUGHTS 

I am a huge fan of gradual tanner but I have never encountered one that is actually designed to treat and care for this skin, like this moisturizer! This product is skincare with the benefit of a gradual tan, which is so impressive! This moisturizer really does make my skin feel so healthy, hydrated, and smooth! I love that they considered the importance of this product being skincare, as well as, a tan. Like I said, I love that there is no compromising your skincare routine for your tan. You can actually get the best of both worlds with this product! I absolutely adore the natural and healthy tan I get from this product in one use! It only gets better with more use. You get more of a bronzed glow and your skin will feel so velvety soft! This is the gradual tan I've been waiting for!! This one not only gives you a natural bronzed glow but it has anti-aging and skin-loving ingredients packed into it! What more could you ask for? I can't recommend this gradual tanning moisturizer enough! It's something everyone should try and it's great for adding the perfect amount of color to the skin!
