The future is here and we all need to start taking advantage of the technology available to us. It used to be that skincare was just a means to prevent the inevitable but with the development of science and technology, topical creams have gone so much farther! We can not only prevent signs of aging but we can even repair them! Introducing the latest skincare innovations from Elemis, the ULTRA SMART range, which takes advanced skincare to a whole new level. This night cream claims to serve up some major results within 28 days and I couldn't be more excited to share my thoughts. I tend to value my evening skincare routine very much and this is where I prefer to invest my money so, this cream is certainly something I would be willing to buy regularly. While pricey, a good night cream can make the biggest difference because it is a night that your body is working to repair your skin. This cream was gifted to me by Elemis. 

The Elemis ULTRA SMART Pro-Collagen Night Genius retails for $315.00 USD for 50ml and is available at Elemis and other retailers. This cream is housed in an excessively large and heavy plastic jar for how much product is actually in the container. It has a very cool rippling design embedded in a clear exterior jar. It is very luxurious packaging but a bit bulky and isn't travel-friendly. 

FORMULA 

The first thing you notice about this formula is the fragrance, it is quite strong initially but it fades quite quickly after you apply it. The fragrance reminds me of a fresh men's cologne, it isn't unpleasant but a little strong during application. I don't mind fragrance in my skincare but some people may be sensitive to fragrance. 

This moisturizer has a rich balmy texture that feels very nourishing and comforting on the skin. The texture feels light, hydrating, and cushiony on the skin, leaving a veil of balmy cream on my skin, which I love the evening. This moisturizer is initially very hydrating but doesn't feel heavy or greasy. You need very little product to cover the entire face to the decolletage area, only about a nickel-sized light swipe. 

I noticed after the very first evening I used this product, I awoke with my skin SIGNIFICANTLY softer and smoother than before! I actually woke up, touched my skin, and thought to myself "What the heck did I put on my skin last night"? When I shook off my morning grogginess and realized it was this cream, I was shocked! I couldn't believe how baby-soft my skin felt! It was so smooth and hydrated. I knew it was very well hydrated and nourished throughout the evening because my skin felt fully saturated. 

I have discussed this concept of the skin being "fully saturated" before it a few other reviews but essentially what I mean by that is that my skin feels like it can't absorb any more nourishment or hydration. I know this because in the morning when I rinse my face with water, it feels like I am rinsing off product from my skin, which means my skin has absorbed as much as it could and there is a layer of remaining moisturizer on the surface of my skin. This is a rare feat for a moisturizer formula and to me, this is an indication of a very good moisturizer.

After only about two days of use, I noticed my skin is significantly more supple and the elasticity in my skin has increased. When I touch my face in the morning, my skin feels so incredibly smooth, like I recently exfoliated my skin. You can tell there is cell turnover occurring on the skin because of the transformation of the texture of the skin. It makes my skin so smooth and soft, I don't feel the need to exfoliate regularly. While it seems to promote cell turnover, my skin doesn't feel sensitive but instead, it feels healthier and stronger. 

After a week of continuous use in combination with the Elemis ULTRA SMART Pro-Collagen Enviro-Adapt Day Cream (full review here), I have noticed tremendous improvement in my skin! While testing this product, I only used this product in the evening and only the day cream in the mornings. My skin became unexplainable smooth! It was like running my hands over a mirror, my skin had a slick and smooth texture! It felt so soft and supple, even when I didn't have the product on it. My skin's texture had been transformed and my face was always glowing in the mornings. 

After 28 days, the smooth texture and suppleness of my skin were just significantly enhanced! My skin just stayed fresh, soft, and supple no matter what. It honestly felt like I didn't need to ever exfoliate my skin because my skin was just so smooth and texturally flawless! The elasticity of my skin was significantly increased! You can see how firm my skin looked and how it had a healthy bounce to it. Again, my skin is just constantly glowing and looks so healthy! Even when I was fresh out of the shower and had no products on my skin, it has this natural luminosity and brightness that it never had before. It is a truly transformative formula!

FINAL THOUGHTS 

I am very passionate about night creams, as I believe that you should spend the most money on your evening skincare routine. My logic to this is because when we sleep, our bodies use this rest time to repair our bodies, this includes the skin. Therefore, you want your most potent and nourishing products to help with this repair. This is definitely the formula you want on your skin overnight if you're in need of skin repair! It has proven that in one night of use it is magical but after consistent use, it can completely transform your skin! I have never used a product that has made my skin feel so supple and so soft! 

I don't even need to bring up how hydrating this formula is because it really saturates the skin and goes beyond hydrating! I have tried many pricey formulas and this one is up there in my top three favorite luxury creams! It has some visible and proven results within 28 days, which is such a short time! If you are looking for an anti-aging powerhouse cream, this is it! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this cream! In fact, I don't think I can emphasize how INCREDIBLE this formula is! This is just one of those formulas you have to try to believe! It is 100% WORTH the cost and I will continue to buy and have this in my collection!
