| Review | Bali Body Highlighter Sticks
Do you love your glow-on-the go? Do you love glow wherever you go? No, this isn't a Dr. Suess rhyme but a genuine inquiry on how much you love your glow. As many of you know, I LOVE my glow and am very passionate about glowy products. Bali Body has recently released these stunning highlighter sticks and their glow has been gracing my cheeks since I got them! These highlighter sticks were very kindly gifted to be from Bali Body.
PACKAGING & PRICE
The Bali Body Highlighter Sticks retail for $29.95 USD and are available at Bali Body. These liquid highlighters are very functionally and simply packaged in clear plastic "lip gloss" tubes. With a pointed wand applicator with a little hole in the center. The hole in the center of the wand allows more product to be pulled from the tube. These highlighting wands are actually very convenient, great for traveling, and so easy to use. This type of packaging for highlighters is very underrated and I'm loving that Bali Body is using this packaging.
SHADES
These highlighter sticks come in three very beautiful and very universally flattering shades:
Moonlit - This light warm champagne shade will suit every skin tone and works with any look you're doing. This is the most universal shade, it isn't too light or dark, suiting every skin tone.
Rose Gold - This is a very rosy toned cool champagne shade that suits every skin tone and gives a lovely rosy toned glow to the skin. Great for a fresh spring look, paired with a rosy or bright pink flush.
Sun Kissed - This golden bronze shade with gold reflects is truly a beautiful sunkissed glow for every skin tone. This bronze shade is the perfect tone and color to suit even fairer skin tones. It adds a touch of summer and warmth to the skin.

FORMULA
This formula is a very sheer and buildable liquid formula. This is a formula I really appreciate because it suits all skin types and ages. When it comes to highlighters, there's a fine line between glow and glitz. When you get to the glitz side of the spectrum, those with texture, pores, or lines will want to steer away from these formulas. Unfortunately, the current popular trend is ultra-shiny highlighters, which really don't flatter everybody but luckily, Bali Body has created a universally flattering formula.
This formula is described as being a "cream to matte formula" but I consider the formula to be more of a liquid than a cream. It has a much lighter and more fluid texture than a cream and it blends into the skin seamlessly without leaving a texture or residue on the skin. I wouldn't consider the finish matte but more of a luminous satin finish. Think of a satin ribbon, it has that silky luminous finish but it's not necessarily shimmery or matte.
This formula starts out sheer but it's very buildable and you can definitely achieve a fair amount of shine but this is still a natural and more subdued highlighter. This highlighter is very versatile and it can look anywhere from a very natural glow to a more glossy sheen to the skin. The level of sheerness and shine varies a bit among the shades. The most pigmented, only by a little, is the Rose Gold shade. This one offers the most glow and can be layered to be more intense than the other two shades. Moonlit and Sunkissed offer just a slightly more subtle sheer glow to the skin. It's still noticeable but just a touch more natural.
These are so easy to apply! Just taking the wand, you can dot some product on the cheeks and blend it out with your fingers or a brush. You can apply the product heavily and still achieve a natural-looking glow. These are fool-proof for those who are constantly on-the-go or busy mornings. They make great travel companions because they don't take up much space in your bag and they're easy to apply without a brush.
Some people find this formula to dry quickly, however, I find that there is more than enough time to work with this formula. I usually heavily dot the product on both my cheekbones, down the center of my nose, and cupid's bow before blending. If you do run across this product drying quickly, apply it one section at a time. I have yet to run across this issue. This, however, means the product wears very well. It really does last all day long, beyond eight hours, after application. It remains as glowy and vibrant as when you first apply it. It doesn't wear away unevenly or leave glittery particles across the skin because the formula is so seamless and subtle.
FINAL THOUGHTS
I can't put these down! Since I got these highlighter sticks, I have been reaching for them because the glow the offer is so glossy, natural, and beautiful. The satin sheen and glow that these highlighters provide is something that is very rare in today's beauty industry. I don't have anything quite like them in my collection and they're so easy to wear for every day. I love how easy they are to use and how easily they blend into the skin. These highlighters just give off a very healthy and natural glow without emphasizing texture or pores! The colors are so universally flattering that anyone could wear any of these shades! I would grab one of each just to switch it up for a variety of looks or for different seasons.
The longevity of these highlighter sticks in wonderful. They sit and wear on the skin so well. This formula is truly unique and stunning on the skin! I find myself constantly reaching for these over many of my other highlighter formulas. Their sheer texture makes it very fun to mix and layer these highlighters. They all really will suit any skin tone, which is something so rare and that I appreciate a lot. I can't recommend these enough! If you've been hunting for a highlighter that will give you a beautiful glow without emphasizing texture or making you look greasy, this one is perfection!
