| Review | Charlotte Tilbury Unisex Healthy Glow Hydrating Tinted Moisturizer

I have always been a long time fan of Charlotte Tilbury base and face makeup. She always knows how to achieve this sexy radiant glow. This is skin tint is something I would have never thought to buy or be interested in until it showed in my Charlotte Tilbury Magic Mystery Box (full review here).

The Charlotte Tilbury Unisex Healthy Glow Hydrating Tinted Moisturizer retails for $40.00 USD and is available at Nordstrom and other retailers. The product is housed in a simple plastic squeeze tube with rose gold accents, which is Charlotte's aesthetic.  The plastic tube is pliable and makes it easy to control the amount of product being distributed.

This product was initially very confusing for me and I wasn't sure what it was actually intended to do. Charlotte Tilbury often has these lengthy names that don't seem to describe her product very well at all. If anything, it leaves the consumer more confused. The full title of this product on the tube is "Unisex Healthy Glow All-Year Hydrating Summer Tinted Moisturizer". Ummm... yeah, WTF is this thing? I thought that with the "summer" part in the name that this was some sort of bronzing product or even contained some fake tan in it or something, but that is not the case.

The product is a tinted moisturizer with a bronze tint. I don't know why the name couldn't be simpler and more self-explanatory but if you were confused, that's what it is. The product comes out of the tube white with little brown speckles. It is one of those universal, one shade self-adjusting makeup products that turns into a skin tone as you blend it into the skin. This tint is quite bronze and golden, which on my medium skin works very well and looks very beautiful. However, it may be too warm for a very fair skin tone. I would recommend testing this in the store and then going outside to see if it may be too bronze. It is very natural and basically has little to no coverage, it is just meant to give you a healthy natural bronzed tint to your skin. If you have great skin like me, you will really love this product. It gives a very healthy radiant glow to skin and a perfect bit of tanned tone. On a bad skin day, I actually like mixing this product with my Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter (review here). I dot the Flawless Filter and the Healthy Glow Tint around my face, then I take a buffing brush and blend. It adds the perfect touch of warmth and bronze I need, plus a touch more coverage. Together they are the ultimate glowing healthy skin combo!

Overall, I actually really like this product and I would consider buying it again. I don't think it is for everyone. Many people will dislike it because it provides no coverage and others because there is only one shade that will not suit them. I think the finish and overall effect that it provides is really beautiful and fresh! It's a great product for when you really don't feel like wearing makeup or if you want to adjust your foundation or complexion shade. For the summer months when wearing makeup seems unbearable, I think this is a great alternative to a foundation. It offers just a hint of perfecting, a hint of bronze, and some radiance to the skin. The shade isn't as universal as it is marketed. I think it will work best for a medium to tan skin tone but fairer skin tones ca wear it too. I just recommend only using one layer and bring it down your neck to your decolletage to ensure it looks natural. This product was a surprising find that has really impressed me and for those looking for a light skint tint. I highly recommend it!
