| Review | Becca Sunlit Bronzer in Bronzed Bondi

There are very few brands that do summer makeup as well as Becca! This Australian-originated brand knows how to create some truly sexy, beautiful, and rich formulas for a natural and radiant look. The Sunlit Bronzers have been on my list for a while, especially since I loved the bronzer from the Becca x Chrissy Teigen palette and I am so happy to have received one from Becca and Octoly for review purposes.

The Becca Sunlit Bronzer in Bronzed Bondi retails for $38.00 USD and is available at Sephora and other retailers. Packaged in the classic round Becca compact but now in bronze, this bronzer has little ripples embossed across it, like ripples of sand on a beach. Very appropriate for this bronzer, especially since all the shades are named after beaches. This bronzer comes in 5 different shades to cover a range of skin tones.

SHADE

The shade I chose was Bronzed Bondi, described as a medium amber. It is the middle shade in this range and it looks quite dark and warm in the pan but it has the perfect touch of warmth. I was concerned it might be too dark for my skin tone but it actually was perfect! The shade is a bronze with a touch of reddish-warmth which makes it the perfect sunkissed shade because it mimics the sun-flushed look you get when you are out in the sun for a while. The bronzer also contains very fine gold micro-shimmers, that don't seem to make a significant difference on the skin. They are not apparent on the skin but just adds a touch of dimension and a nice glow.. Although this bronzer has some warmth to it, it still works very well for sculpting the face, which is what I love to do with bronzer! This shade suits my skin tone very well, I am a MAC NC 30-35, right now I'm leaning more towards the 30 range because we are transitioning out of winter into spring. I expect this shade to work for me even as I become more tan because it is so pigmented and can be layered.

FORMULA

The texture of this bronzer is very soft! The product is also incredibly pigmented. I recommend dipping into the product lightly and building up the color. The powder blends very evenly and beautifully into the skin. It looks incredibly natural and doesn't leave any powdery texture on top of the skin. It is also long-lasting, I found it wore for a solid 8+ hours and it didn't fade or get splotchy throughout the day. It sits very well on the skin and when well blended it looks very seamless and flawlessly part of the skin. The shade has the perfect pinch of red that mimics that sun-flushed look that we all desire in the summer time. I can't recommend this product enough.
