After using many Elemis products on my travels, I have been very hooked on this advanced skincare range. You can find my review of the Elemis travel set here. This elegant luxury line offers a wide variety of innovative anti-aging products, including this unique Cream Oil, which was very kindly sent to me.
The Elemis Peptide-4 Night Recovery Cream Oil retails for $59.00 USD for 1.0 fl. oz. and is available at Elemis. The product is housed in a beautiful purple ombre glass bottle. It is petite and fits very nicely in my hands. The packaging is very luxurious and it contains a pump mechanism for dispensing product. This pump is very easy to work with and allows you to control the product being released. I also think the price is very reasonable for the high quality ingredients and product that is provided. I have paid a lot more for products with very little results.

I have to say, I love that the ingredients are high quality and wholesome! I don't really see any fillers or nasty ingredients in this formula. It's nice to see that you are paying for good ingredients and not just ingredients that mimic the look and feel of healthy skin.
What is a Cream Oil?
I had never heard of, or used a product that is describes as a "Cream Oil" before but it is exactly what you would expect, it is a face lotion texture with more moisture and a bit more creaminess because it contains an oil. I describe it as "creaminess" because doesn't have an oily or greasy texture but it just makes the cream more rich and emollient. The shocking thing about this product is, despite it containing oil, it quickly absorbs into the skin and doesn't leave any residue! It is very moisturizing!
If you love the idea of face oils but hate the feeling of the oil sitting on the skin, this product is perfect for you! It doesn't leave an oily film over the skin, so it feels very good and it is easy to sleep in without worrying about oil getting all over your pillow or sheets. The scent is very fresh, light, and a little powdery. I love when face products have an appealing scent but isn't strong enough to affect sensitive skin types. Though it has oil in it, it feels very light and can work for all skin types. I love being able to have the advantages of using an oil without the oily texture and film on my skin.
