As much as I am a makeup addict, I'm not a huge lip liner person. I really only use lip liner when I'm wearing bold colors or on special occasions. However, I was really excited to try these Bite Beauty Lip Pencils because of their phenomenal reputation. I love that their products are created with natural and food grade ingredients. The brand's philosophy is something I really respect.

The Bite Beauty The Lip Pencil retails for  $18.00 USD and is available at Sephora. These lip pencils are classic wooden lip pencils that require a sharpener, which actually is the type of lip pencils I prefer because you can always have a sharp tip. These came very sharpened, almost a little too much. The shades range is very large and spans from nudes to the darkest plum.

The lip pencils give you a lot of precision and don't bleed past your lip line. They also prevent bleeding very well and makes your lip color last significantly longer. They are very pigmented and can be used alone or layered. The formula isn't too waxy, isn't too dry, and isn't too creamy. The lip liner lasts very long, on its own but even better when layered.

I received the shades 020 (beige nude) and 044 (rich mahogany).

020 - is a creamy pink-toned beige nude that compliments many nude lipsticks and is particularly paired beautifully with Bite Beauty's Honeycomb lipstick.  The pigment is very opaque and the texture is very creamy on the lips. I can see myself purchasing this shade again and again.

044 - is a deep plummy brown that compliments many dark lip colors. I don't often wear deep lip colors but when I do, I HAVE to use a lip pencil. Deep and bold lip colors really require flawless application in order to look really good and a lip liner helps so much! Also, it will really help prevent any bleeding from the lipstick however, modern lipstick formulas rarely bleed anymore.

Overall, these are very nice lip liners and I can see myself buying more of these. I may not have been lip liner person but these have definitely made me a convert! The creamy texture and opaque pigment make these a new must have in my routine! I have been using 020 a lot because it pairs so well with so many of my lipsticks, I will probably be purchasing that shade again soon!

Let me know your thoughts on lip liners! Do you love them or hate them? Do you have any favorites?
