Ok, let me tell you that initially, I didn't believe in LED technology for skincare. It just seemed a bit gimmicky but after actually using this mask for a week, it completely changed my mind! Turns out, I may have been wrong about this technology the whole time. This mask has truly impressed me with its ability to transform my skin. THE DEVICE 

Let's talk about the mask itself. The mask is a flexible silicone mask with LED lights on one side and a Velcro strap that allows you to tighten the mask around your head. There is also an attached remote that is connected with a wire, this controller cannot be detached but it isn't heavy or too cumbersome. The charger plugs into the controller and you should definitely fully charge your mas prior to using it. Once fully charged to you can get many hours of use out of it! I honestly don't need to charge it again for weeks. 

The mask is very lightweight and it is very comfortable to wear for the 10 minutes of the treatment. I have even walked around with the mask on. Personally, I like to relax when I'm doing my treatment because it is only 10 minutes and we could all use a good 10 minutes of "me time". Plus, the controller does dangle from the mask and while it isn't that cumbersome, it's not great for if you want to be doing things around the house. 

The mask straps onto your face using a Velcro strap, which allows you strap the mask on securely, tight against the skin, and minimizes slippage. The only thing that I don't like about the strap is that the ends are a little too thick to easily slip through the slit in the mask for them. I attached one end through the slit and when I put on the mask, I slip the other end through the larger opening for the ears and I pull it very tight around my face. The flexibility of the mask with the versatility of the strap, allows you to get the mask very close to the skin, which allows you to get the full penetration of the light treatment, making it more effective. 

THE TREATMENT 

Like previously mentioned, the treatment only takes 10 minutes! I appreciate this because I often skip using some of my skincare devices because it just takes too long to use. With this treatment, I can find a quick 10 minutes every day to get my treatment in. Skincare devices are really only effective if you are using them consistently, plus, you get the most out of your money they more you use them. So, in order to see the best results, I recommend using this mask daily. 

The treatment utilizes a Red (633nm) and Near Infra-Red Light (830nm), which is known to promote collagen synthesis, skin repair, and better blood circulation. This type of technology has been used in other bodily applications before it was use for the skin. It has been used for wound and injury repair but is also known for repairing aging skin! I have been extremely skeptical for years about this type of technology but after testing this mask out, it has completely changed my mind!

The treatment doesn't feel like much while you are using the mask. You will sometimes feel a little warmth in certain areas of your face but it won't feel irritating at all. Upon your first use, you may not notice much of an immediate difference in your skin but after about three days of continuous use, I noticed my skin felt tighter, firmer, and more elastic. It also looks more luminous! After one week of use, I have noticed an even bigger difference in my skin! My skin felt significantly firmer, tighter, and more elastic! I kept thinking to myself throughout the day, "Why does my skin feel so bouncy and firm?" and I realized that the only difference in my skincare was the inclusion of this mask in my daily routine. I knew after a week of using this mask that this technology ACTUALLY WORKS! 

FINAL THOUGHTS 

When it comes to skincare devices, you always want to make the right investment because it is a pricey investment. This is a universal and understandable feeling when it comes to considering a skincare device purchase. I have long avoided this technology because I have felt that it was ineffective and not worth the cost but after actually trying it out first-hand, I am OBSESSED! I am shocked that I was able to see a massive difference after a week but it only took me ten minutes a day to use this treatment! I think THAT is what makes this device so worthwhile because you don't have to commit a lot of time but you can still achieve amazing results for your skin! Also, another important consideration is how consistent and how often you will use a device. With how easy it is to use this device and the limited time needed for treatment, it almost guarantees you will be using it regularly and getting your money's worth. I have very few skincare devices that I find a worthwhile investment and this one is on my top five list!
