We all know Korean skincare is the pinnacle of the skincare industry. AXIS-Y is a brand I have seen around for a while and I am excited to try their beautiful skincare. When it comes to daily essentials for my skincare routine, I always need something to make my skin glow and something to protect my skin. These products are the bestsellers from the brand for good reason! I'm very excited to share my thoughts on both of these products. This review is sponsored by AXIS-Y but as always, this review is written by me and is my genuine thoughts on the products. 

PRICE & PACKAGING

The AXIS-Y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen retails for $23.00 USD and is available at AXIS-Y  and other retailers. The sunscreen is packaged in a simple squeezable plastic tube with a very fine dropper-like tip. This style of packaging is ideal for this lightweight sunscreen, it allows you to carefully control how much your dispense but it is still very convenient. This packaging is also ideal for traveling. 

FORMULA 

This sunscreen has a delightfully lightweight liquid texture that blends into the skin quickly and leaves no residue or texture behind. This is my ideal texture for daily sunscreen because I don't have time to spend blending sunscreen or wait for it to absorb before I start my makeup routine. Also, no one likes a greasy or sticky residue remaining on the skin. This sunscreen leaves the skin feeling like its natural texture, which makes it perfect as a primer before makeup. This texture also ensures that it doesn't interfere with your makeup application. It doesn't cause your makeup to slip around or pill when blended over this sunscreen. 

The lightweight texture blends into the skin without leaving behind a white cast to the skin, which is incredibly important to me because of my medium skin tone. My skin can look very ashy if sunscreen leaves a cast on the skin but this one will not alter the look of your skin tone or makeup. While lightweight, the formula still feels very hydrating and nourishing. This is due to the addition of 2% niacinamide and squalane. 

Niacinamide is so great for smoothing the texture of the skin, minimizing redness, minimizing pores, regulating oils on the skin, protecting against sun damage, minimizing wrinkles, and helping build keratin for the health of the skin. You will notice some of these improvements in your skin immediately, like the texture improvement, and other results like, pore minimization over time. I love niacinamide and I greatly appreciate the high percentage of it in this formula. It is an incredibly correcting and nourishing addition to a classic sunscreen formula. 

I also appreciate the inclusion of squalane, which also helps improve the texture of the skin, reduces wrinkles, softens the texture of the skin, soothes irritation, controls oil, and helps fade dark spots. As this is a formula I wear daily, I want additional skincare ingredients that will help improve my skin. I am also a huge fan of squalane. Squalane adds noticeable hydration and nourishment to this formula. You will notice the immediate improvement in the texture of your skin, the oil control, and the soothing properties. 

This sunscreen contains SPF 50+ PA ++++ and it is internationally ISO certified, which ensures you are receiving the best and truest sun protection. With many brands, you will just have to trust that the label is honest and true but when a brand is certified, you know you are being protected. I prefer SPF 50 or high in my daily routine because I live in an area where the UV can vary from day to day and my sun exposure can be quite high so, I want to know that I am protecting myself in the best way possible.

The soft plastic tube makes it ideal for traveling and the pump provides a convenient means of dispensing the product. The pump also keeps the product sanitary and clean over time. 

FORMULA 

This serum has a lightweight gel texture that melts into the skin quickly. It feels refreshing, like water, on the skin. It feels instantly hydrating and soothing on the skin. It absorbs very quickly and it doesn't leave the skin feeling sticky or leaves any residue on the skin. It just leaves the skin feeling plump and hydrated. The texture and formula play very well with other skincare products, which is incredibly important. It does not affect the texture of the products that are layered on top and does not affect makeup that may be applied on top. 

This serum is designed for dark spot correcting and it works incredibly well! Dark spot correcting takes time and when you use this formula consistently, you will notice a huge improvement in your hyperpigmentation over time! I have some stubborn sun spots that I have been working on lightening and this formula has been a great help. My skin is looking brighter, smoother, and more youthful due to this serum!

FINAL THOUGHTS 

These are products everyone can use and should use in their routine! These formulas go above and beyond what they are designed for because the ingredients are so potent and multi-correctional! The high percentage of niacinamide and squalane is a potent combination for improving the skin in a variety of ways from texture improvement to dark spot brightening. For an incredibly affordable price, this Korean beauty brand is delivering premium products! You can't get better products for this price! These should be much more expensive for how effective and potent these formulas are. I have loved including these in my daily routine and I won't be without them. Why should I when these are so affordable? I can't recommend both the serum and sunscreen enough! They are in a league of their own with the quality, formula, and price. Once you try these, you will thank me! They are truly beautiful formulas and so affordable for everyone to enjoy.
