Self-tan has always been one of those categories of beauty I enjoy exploring but I also find it horribly intimidating. Luckily, with today's technology, brands like Bali Body, are making at-home tanning easier than ever! Let's be real if it's messy or inconvenient, I'm less likely to want to use the product regularly. This latest innovation from Bali Body is as easy as it comes when you're talking about self-tan! It's completely invisible while it works its magic! This review is sponsored by Bali Body but as always, my thoughts are entirely my own and completely honest.

The Bali Body Clear Self Tan Water retails for $28.95 USD and is available at Bali Body. The self-tan is housed in a large nude-colored plastic bottle with a pump. This packaging turns the clear liquid tan into a light and frothy clear foam! This packaging is innovative and serves the important function of creating the appropriate texture for the perfect self-tan application.

This self-tan currently comes in one universal shade that is buildable and will suit all skin tones. The tan goes on completely clear and develops to about one or two shades deeper than your skin tone. You can continue to layer it to achieve and deeper and very natural-looking tan.

FORMULA 

This light foam just instantly melts into the skin upon contact and it feels cool and refreshing, like water. It's truly a unique formula and application experience. It feels instantly hydrating on the skin and, while wet-feeling, it absorbs quite quickly. It feels just slightly sticky as it is drying but as soon as it completely dries, it doesn't feel like you applied anything on your skin at all! You can very quickly rub this all over and get into your clothes without worrying about transferring, streaks, or making a mess all over the place! This formula is truly transfer-free! Since it has no color guide, this water-based solution ensures zero transfer to clothes and bedding and is also great for sensitive and dry skin, as it doesn’t cling to dry spots. 

That's really the beauty of this completely invisible formula, it stays invisible! Once it dries, your skin doesn't feel dry and it doesn't cause any drying effect. If anything, your skin will feel more hydrated than it did before! This formula works quickly once absorbed into the skin, you only have to wait about two hours to see a really healthy and natural glow all over the skin! I feel like with one light layer, I went one shade up and I can easily go darker without worrying about it looking fake or obvious. The water just soaks into the skin so naturally, that even on the areas I tend to make mistakes when applying my tan like, the elbows and knees, it just glides over them without an issue. This water doesn't have that issue of picking up on textured areas at all. 

Now, I will say that I think it is important to use the Luxe Tanning Mitt with this formula. While you can use your hands, the formula dissolves and sinks into the skin quickly. I don't like to risk having the "tan-hands issue", where your palms are darkened by the tan. The mitt is incredibly affordable! It's only $12.95 but you can bundle it with your tan water for $10.36, which is an amazing deal! The mitt is made of a super soft and luxurious almost-velour material. It really does feel so luxe and it perfectly applies all my tanning products! It's really like using the softest material you can possibly use on the skin. I can't recommend it enough for all tan applications! 

What I love about this formula is you really don't need much! You really get a lot of value for the price of the product. I feel like a squirt out about a little over the size of a quarter coin peice for half of my leg. The bottle actually contains enough product for eight to ten full-body coats! The tan also lasts on the body for a long time so, I honestly think this bottle will last me quite a long time. You will notice a very subtle self'-tanner smell after it develops but it seems to go away in a couple of hours. The smell really isn't really noticeable, which I really appreciate. 

The color this product gives you is stunning! What I love most about it is how natural it looks! It really looks like I was just outside and got a real tan! Since the tan doesn't sit on the skin, it gives a true sunkissed look and no one would be able to guess that you did it at home! That's something that is really important for me. I also appreciate how natural the tan looks because when I need a quick tan, I don't have to fuss at all. This one delivers an almost-instant tan without the mess! It literally takes me five minutes to apply this to my legs and it always looks flawless! 

What I really appreciate about Bali Body self-tanning formulas is their inclusion of nourishing and skin-loving ingredients! It makes this tan water so hydrating and makes it feel like a skin treatment while it adds a fresh glow to the skin. I appreciate that this product does more than just give my skin a tan and it makes my skin feel so healthy. 

FINAL THOUGHTS 

I know I have said this before but I'm not a self-tan find of person, mostly because it always seems like so much extra work but this product has really changed my mind! Who knew self-tanning could be so easy and mess-free? The biggest reason why I don't often self-tan is that takes so much effort but this tan water is just an invisible foam that melts into the skin with no effort and does all the work! It literally takes me no time at all to apply this product and the results are consistently stunning! If you want a quick, easy, and natural-looking tan, this is by far one of the best products I have ever tried! I love using this product as my everyday self-tanner but is also great for touching up your tan because it looks so natural and layers so well! I can't recommend this product enough for those looking to achieve a realistic and natural tan. Self-tanning is the safest and most ideal way to get a tan year-round! You don't have to worry about tan lines and the color is just as rich and natural as a suntan!
