Oh, hello my two favorite products combined into one! Yep, an illuminating bronzing serum! That's exactly what you think it is! A beautiful serum that adds a healthy bronze tint to your skin and illuminates it! Are you just imagining a never-ending summer? I am! It's no secret I am a huge fan of Bali Body. It is a brand I have been using for many years and they are always coming out with new and exciting innovations! This product is one of many new innovations. This serum gives you the versatility of a bronze look on demand! This review is sponsored by Bali Body but as always, my thoughts are entirely my own and completely honest. 

The Bali Body Illuminating Bronzing Serum retails for $29.95 and is available at Bali Body. The bronzing serum is housed in a beautiful metallic rose gold tube with a pump. Not only practical but very pretty. This packaging is easy to store and travel with, which is always important to me. The pump packaging is also ideal because it is very sanitary and easy to use. 

SHADES 

This serum comes in one universal shade, which actually makes sense because this product is buildable and it is designed to give a sheerer tint and illumination, as opposed to a self-tanner, which is designed to deliver a lot of color. This universal shade may not seem like enough but trust me it has a nice pigment to it and it is very buildable. You can also sheer it out by mixing it into your favorite moisturizer or foundation. There are very fine and visible specks of golden shimmer but they don't emphasize texture on the skin when the serum is well blended. The brand also recommends exfoliating well before applying the serum and I must agree. With any type of makeup-like product, you need to properly prep your skin so products go on smoothly and evenly.

FORMULA 

This serum has a gel-serum texture. It is thicker than your traditional face serum, similar to a gel, but it blends into the skin very easily like a serum. It feels very lightweight and once blended, it doesn't feel like you have anything on the skin at all. It's totally weightless! This formula is enriched with anti-aging ingredients and nourishing oils to care for and maintain the skin's health. I really feel the nourishing formula when I wear this serum because it makes my skin feel hydrated and nourished for hours under my makeup. 

The serum is quite pigmented! One layer all over my face and I have a very healthy sunkissed glow, which is about a shade and a half deeper than my current coloring. I have to take the bronzing serum down my neck and chest to make sure everything matches. You can continue to layer on more for a deeper and richer tanned look. When you use it all over, it delivers decent coverage and the warmth it adds to the skin evens out your overall complexion. On a good skin day, I don't feel the need to wear makeup at all! This serum makes my skin look healthy, sunkissed, and even! It's amazing how much a little bit of a bronze tint can make your complexion look so good that you don't need anything else. 

You can also mix this in with your facial serum or moisturizer, which will add an even sheerer tint to the skin. Again, it improves the appearance of the skin, adds a glow, and a healthy subtle sunkissed look. 

This bronzing serum can also be used mixed in with foundation but depending on how much you mix in, this may greatly alter the tone of your foundation. As someone who drastically changes skin tones throughout the year because I tan so easily, I love a good bronzing product like this to deepen my year-round or winter foundations. Also, if your summer foundation is a touch dark for you, you can just apply this serum underneath. When applied underneath the foundation, it adds a natural and fresh glow to the complexion even with the foundation on top. 

I also like to use this formula over my foundation on the high points of the face as a glowing liquid bronzer. I like to dot the product at the high points of my face and blend it in to create a fresh and glowing warmth all over. 

There are many means to apply this bronzing serum. You can apply it with fingers, a sponge, or a brush. Bali Body offers a versatile Body Blending Brush, which is highly recommended by the brand and I can see why! This luxurious brush is often sold out on the website because it is high quality and versatile! This flat top brush is very dense and made of very soft synthetic bristles. When I use it to blend the product into the skin, it took seconds! It literally just easily sweeps and blends the bronzing serum evenly across the complexion. This brush makes all products apply so beautifully to the complexion or body. I use it for my other self-tan and bronzing products. I also love it for applying foundation, whether you mix it with the bronzing serum or not. 

The serum dries down on the skin, which means this bronzing serum lasts on the skin! When I apply it just over my regular skincare routine, it lasts beyond eight hours with little to no transfer. This product is very thin and adheres to the skin beautifully without clinging to texture. It's such a versatile formula that I can easily incorporate into my beauty routine. This is a great product for the days when you need a quicky bronze boost but you don't have time to self-tan or perhaps you're worried about messing your face tan up on an important day. This is a quick way to achieve a temporary tanned look and is very non-committal.

FINAL THOUGHTS 

The bronzing serum is a beautiful addition to any beauty routine because it is so versatile! I love the intensity of the bronze tint and the beautiful illuminating formula. For my no-makeup days, this is all I apply to my skin over my skincare routine. It just makes my skin look healthier, more even, and glowing! On the days I want to wear more makeup, I love mixing this with my foundation or applying it over my foundation for a bronze and glowing finish to my complexion. When you're a lazy gal and often forgetful when it comes to self-tan, this product is a lifesaver! There are often times when an event or nice dinner sneaks up on me and I'm looking less than presentable but with this bronzing serum, I can instantly look like I have a fresh tan from a nice sunny vacation! Also, I often use a bronze-tinted primer for my daily makeup routine so, this product is perfect for my daily beauty routine! I really enjoy this product and I can't recommend it enough!
