| Review | Westman Atelier Eye Pods in Rendez Vous
These easy cream eyeshadows are some of my favorites! They are the perfect texture that just makes them so easy to use daily. I was so excited to see another color palette come out for this formula! Westman Atelier is a luxurious clean beauty range with effortless formulas for the everyday person. I think this is one of their best formulas and one that everyone has to try! You can read my review for the Les Jours Eye Pods here and the Les Nuits Eye Pods here. These are both very well loved in my collection and eyeshadows I recommend. This new colorway lives up to the legacy of this formula.
The Westman Atelier Eye Pods in Rendez Vous retail for $88.00 USD and is available at Sephora. These eyeshadows are housed in small magnetic little pots with twist-off lids. The pods are different colors with a shiny finish. Since the pods are magnetic they can be stacked in any configuration and even mixed with other eye pod sets. I really love this convenient packaging because it is small and can fit just about anywhere. Also, it's nice that the shades don't get easily separated in a makeup bag.
SHADES
The shades in this palette are really wearable and universally flattering. I can see why they released this selection of shades during fall because these are not only seasonal shades but trending shades for the autumn season. When I first saw these shade together, I didn't think they would go together so seamlessly but they do! They really look so beautiful together and you can really use these shades in a variety of combinations.
Bonne Chance - This shade is a rich and deep kaki green shade with fine gold shimmer throughout it.
Bisou - This shade is a light peach shade with a pink undertone and a lot of fine gold shimmer throughout.
Frappe - This shade is a cool taupe-brown shade.

FORMULA
This formula is beautifully unique with its powder-like cream formula! Similar to the popular, Colourpop Super Shock Eyeshadow formula, these eyeshadows have an incredibly smooth, soft, and creamy formula. Your fingers and brushes glide over the eyeshadow beautifully but you can also press down and squish the surface of the eyeshadow. You really don't need to press down at all to get pigment though, you just need to gently brush the surface with a little bit of pressure and the pigment lifts off the surface.
These eyeshadows are richly pigmented and while you can wear them a little sheerer, you can also build them up to be fully opaque. These eyeshadows can start out sheer to a medium pigment and you can layer on more to get the true-to-pan intensity. The smooth texture of these eyeshadows glides on the eyes very easily with a brush or fingers. I used both but when I want more precision, I'll reach for a brush. These cream eyeshadows are thin, lightweight, and they blend like a dream! They almost don't need blending at all because they blend themselves as they apply. These also layer beautifully with each other to create a complex look. You can get fallout from the formula but it's very unlikely. the cream formula, while a bit on the drier side, is still very creamy.
Since these cream eyeshadows are so thin and you don't need much, they crease minimally. I honestly don't notice too much creasing at all when I wear these and I don't use a primer. With a primer, you shouldn't experience creasing at all. With my hooded eyes, I have noticed that over time the shades can blend together. I find these wear about 4-5 hours before it starts to fade a bit but it still looks really good. It gives you a "lived-in" smokey look, instead of a messy look when it fades.
THE LOOK
For this look, I applied Bonne Chance on the outer third of my eyes. Then, I applied Bisou on the inner one-third of the eye to brighten the inner corner. For more definition and smokiness, I applied Frappe on the outer corner and lash line.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Again, I think Westman Atelier has created another beautiful trio of eyeshadows that is versatile enough for all skin tones and ages. This formula is just so easy to love because it's so easy to use! The formula is a beautiful hybrid between powder and cream. It applies and blends like a dream. From the packaging to the formula, it's all so luxurious and well worth the price. If you love easy minimal makeup, this trio is for you. It has just a bit of color to mix up your makeup wardrobe but it's still very wearable. I find myself reaching for this trio most days because it's just so easy to get a polished and cohesive look. I also like to mix my eye pods with each other to create other looks. The brand definitely isn't perfect but I think these eye pods are some of the best product offerings they have! I highly recommend this formula and these shades!
