| Review | Herbal Face Food The Cure X

As a major part of the Herbal Face Food range, this extremely potent spot treatment is a key part of transforming the skin. I have discussed at length the Herbal Face Food Serum I in my review here. As part of my testing and now, my skincare routine, I have been using The Cure. It is highly recommended that both products be used together because it will help speed up the repair of the skin, especially in parts that are more damaged than others. I wanted to write a dedicated blog post for this spot treatment and go into detail about the results I have seen. This product was very kindly gifted by Herbal Face Food for testing purposes but they did not ask me to write this review. I am just a big fan of the brand and I wanted to share this product with you.

This spot treatment is housed in a luxurious cobalt blue glass dropper bottle. This bottle is the same as other serums in the range so, you will need to read the labels to prevent using the wrong bottle. Also, the color of the treatment is different so, if you do pick up the wrong bottle, you will know. I really like the sturdiness and luxurious look of this packaging. 

FORMULA 

This spot treatment is a serum formula and while it comes in a serum bottle with a pipette, you really need only a drop! This spot treatment is extremely potent, which is why it is highly recommended to only use this product as a spot treatment. The color of this antioxidant treatment is a rich orange-red coloring, much more vibrant than the Herbal Face Food Serum I, which is the lowest concentration serum that the brand offers. This natural coloring doesn't stain or affect the skin in any negative way. 

You can use this over the Herbal Face Food Serums or over other skincare products to treat skin damage, such as dark spots, sun spots, discoloration, texture, milia, and a wide variety of other skin conditions. For a more potent treatment, apply the spot treatment directly to dry skin. Keep in mind that this potent spot treatment will have strong tingling and burning sensation on the skin. So, the more you apply and whether you apply it over another product will affect how much of this sensation you feel. You may think a burning sensation sounds bad but it is working! Very rarely do you come across skincare that you can actually feel while it is working. 

If this is your first time using this product, I highly recommend building up your tolerance by using this treatment over your other skincare products first. Be very careful when using this product around the eyes because the burning sensation can be quite strong. Don't get it in your eyes it will burn! However, it isn't damaging. I highly recommend building up your tolerance for the burning by starting with the Serum I and using very little of the Serum X. After you have built more tolerance you can apply a heavier layer of the Serum X to your areas of concern. 

This spot treatment is essentially just a super-concentrated version of the other Herbal Face Food Serums. This treatment has the same natural herbal fragrance, which is quite strong initially but will fade after the serum starts to absorb into the skin. This super antioxidant concentrate is designed to treat damaged skin, which can be anything from discoloration to texture. I recommend starting with a very light dab of the treatment on your areas of concern. As your skin adapts to the product, you can apply a heavier drop on the areas of concern. When I have the time, I just leave a visible drop on my skin. Since the treatment is fairly viscous, it does cling to the skin and has very minimal to no dripping. 

The great thing about this spot treatment is that you can use it as often as you like! Of course, if your skin is sensitive to it, use it less often. However, I noticed when my skin developed a tolerance to the warming or burning sensation that I tried to use it multiple times a day to help accelerate my skin's healing process. This product plays really well with all products but one thing to be aware of is using this immediately after a very strong peel or exfoliator. Since your skin is more sensitive after a strong peel or chemical exfoliant, the burning sensation is much stronger and may be very uncomfortable. I would recommend giving your skin about 24 hours before using this treatment again after a peel. 

THE RESULTS

The results I have seen from this spot treatment is near-miraculous! I mean almost unbelievable results! I used this spot treatment on my sun spots, scar discoloration, and on my milia spots. I saw visible fading after one month. After three months, I noticed a significant reduction in my milia spots, more significant fading of my sun spots, and fading of an old scar discoloration. After only four months, the scar discoloration I had for years, seemed to be pretty much gone! Also, smaller milia bumps had pretty much disappeared and the larger ones had been reduced to very small textured bumps! I had one particularly large bump that I didn't realize was even treatable but when I started applying this treatment to it, it started shrinking! NOTHING had ever been able to shrink this textured bump on my face! Also, despite all the exfoliating I had done, my milia did not reduce, until I started using this treatment! 

While milia can go away with time and regular exfoliating, I had mine for years and I was actively trying to get rid of them but they didn't budge. Until I started this treatment! I honestly had given up on the damage and texture on my skin and I was even considering paying for lasers or microneedling treatments to get rid of this texture. The Cure X has completely changed my perspective on topical treatments! It has literally worked MIRACLES on my skin and I plan on continuing to use this treatment until my concerns are completely eliminated! While I still have a healthy amount of skepticism over the power of topical treatments, I am very convinced this topical treatment is a miracle worker! Before considering more invasive and expensive treatment options for your more severe skin conditions, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND trying this first! 

After 1 month of use - You can see the pigmentation on my cheeks from sun damage, milia under my eyes, and a large milia spot on the side of my upper eye area

After 4 months of use - You can see the large milia spot on the upper part of my eye has significantly decreased in size, a lot of the milia under my eyes have been reduced, and the pigmentation has faded

After 4 months - You can hardly see some of the milia under my eyes and how faint the sunspots look on my cheeks. Can you believe the milia under my eyes was worst than this?

After 4 months of use - You can see the large milia spot under my brow is a lot smaller. This one will take time to reduce but I have seen improvement after every use.

FINAL THOUGHTS 

If someone told me there was an all-natural product made from plants that would eliminate my milia, discoloration, and sunspots, I wouldn't believe them. I have struggled with milia for so many years! I am stunned to have found something that has not only reduced them significantly but eliminated some of them completely!
