If luscious and juicy lips are what you're after, then look no further than these Lip Luminizers from Em Cosmetics! The brand's ethereal and effortless aesthetic is wrapped up in this sleek and effortless lip product. This formula is one of the original sheer, glossy, hydrating lip colors and now, it seems like everyone is jumping on this lip product trend. This is a formula I fell in love with instantly and I had to pick up every new shade as it released. 

The Em Cosmetics Lip Cushion Tinted Lip Luminizer retails for $22.00 USD and is available at Em Cosmetics. These lip cushions are housed in a slim and sleek plastic twist tube packaging. The twist-up mechanism slowly clicks up a bit of product at a time but it does not reverse. So, be very careful about twisting it up too much. The plastic packaging is very lightweight, not the most luxurious but cute and practical. 

SHADES 

This product range is constantly expanding due to the popularity of this formula. They have just recently released a completely clear version for hydrating the lips. You can expect to see more shades as the brand expands its selection.

Magic Hour - This shade is a light pink with a subtle peach undertone. 

Venitian Rose - This shade is a cool dusty rose shade with a creamy finish.

FORMULA 

These lip cushions are called "cushions" for a good reason. These glossy lip balms feel so cushiony and bouncy on the lips. The formula is light, balmy, and slick. It leaves the lips feeling smooth, plump, and hydrated. This is the kind of product that will have you wanting to constantly press your lips together. It has a slick texture that has just a little bit of slip to it than a balm or gloss. This quality is what gives it that cushiony texture on the lips. It doesn't ever feel thick or sticky. 

The pigment is very buildable, starting out sheer but with 3 to 4 swipes you can have a strong color on the lips. This formula will never become fully opaque because it isn't meant to. It is meant to provide a translucent glossy color. The deeper the shades will leave a very faint stain but these aren't designed for long wear. These are a comfortable balm that's meant to be reapplied. 

You can get approximately 1 to 4 hours of wear out of these, depending on how much you're eating and drinking. Luckily, the fine tip of this lip balm allows you to reapply easily and blindly. The smaller size and oval shape, allows you to get precision application especially, around the cupid's bow. 

The glossy finish is luminous and juicy on the lips. It isn't as glossy as a lip gloss and this is due to the thinner balm texture and more translucent pigment. It really does make your lips look very healthy, juicy, and plump. It smooths over any minor texture on the lips quite well. This formula genuinely hydrates the lips, which is why they made a clear version just for nourishing the lips day or night. Even after the color has worn off, you feel the hydrating and smoothing formula on your lips. It feels very nourishing, going beyond just your typical glossy lip color. 

FINAL THOUGHTS 

While there are many imitators these days attempting to replicate this formula, this formula is so unique and beautiful. The cushiony texture feels so delightful on the lips, smoothing and hydrating the lips while providing color to the lips. This formula is one of the very few that make your lips feel luscious and plush. This is definitely a beautiful formula for wearing every day and for long wear because it's so comfortable. The range of colors for this formula seems to be growing and all the shades are so wearable. There are a variety of shades to suit a wide range of skin tones. This is one of the hero products from the Em Cosmetics range and they do it so well! I really do think they have pretty much perfected this kind of lip product and their formula is far superior to others I have tried. I can't recommend these lip luminizers enough! As long as they'll keep making them, I'll keep collecting them!
