| Review | Em Cosmetics Divine Skys Eyeshadow Palette in Faded Clementine
Winter is heating up with Em Cosmetics' latest warm eyeshadow palette launch! With the success of the Faded Clementine Veil Blush and Infinite Lip Cloud, the brand decided to expand upon this beautiful warm orange range with an eyeshadow palette. Their previous eyeshadow palette in Magic Hour was a huge success and it's no surprise they went for another eyeshadow palette.
The Em Cosmetics Divine Skys Eyeshadow Palette in Faded Clementine retails for $38.00 USD and is available at Em Cosmetics. This eyeshadow palette has a very simple but chic hexagonal design. It is also a very unique shape and design. This is definitely not a shape I have seen from any other brand. It has the logo embossed on the top of the compact. This particular compact is a muted tangerine shade to suit the Faded Clementine theme. The compact is small and fits comfortably in my small hands. The compact snaps open and closed, it feels very secure.
SHADES
This collection of warm shades with a variety of finishes provides a lot of versatility and complexity. There is also a good balance in the variety of shade tones. There are no names on the back of the palette for each of the shades but there are names for the shades on the Em Cosmetics website.
Nostalgia (top left) - This shade is a shimmering soft tangerine with a strong gold shimmer.
Faded Clementine (top center) - This shade is a warm matte vibrant coral.
Sweet Memory (top right) - This shade is a rich golden amber shade with a shimmering warm gold throughout.
Bordeaux (bottom right) - This shade is a shimmering cranberry shade with a plummy undertone.
Eros (bottom center) - This shade is a rich wine shade with a pink undertone.
Eden (bottom left) - This shade is a deep matte plummy brown shade.

FORMULA
Matte Eyeshadows
The matte eyeshadow formula is very pigmented and vibrant. The formula is really buildable but you have to pick up a little bit of product at a time. The matte eyeshadows apply really evenly and smoothly on the skin, blending very seamlessly. This is often a difficult formula to perfect because matte eyeshadows can be powdery and lack pigment but these are quite the opposite. They are very vibrant and have a creamy powder texture. The powder texture also adheres well to the skin and doesn't cause fallout on the skin.
It adheres so well to the eyes. I don't use primer and these powders apply and stay vibrant all day long. The matte eyeshadows can even be layered beautifully over the shimmer eyeshadows without an issue. These matte eyeshadows also make a lovely cheek color to complement your whole look.
Shimmer Eyeshadows
The shimmer eyeshadows have a creamy and slightly dense texture, which glides onto the skin similar to cream eyeshadow. These eyeshadows are very pigmented and very little will go a long way. The eyeshadows are very true to color and the shimmer is extremely fine, give a more metallic look to the eyes. The metallic finish isn't so strong that it gives it a frosty appearance, which isn't as flattering on textured skin or mature skin. This metallic finish is very smooth and adds a flattering shine to the eyes.
THE LOOK
For this look, I applied Faded Clementine to the crease, concentrating on the outer crease and blending upwards. I applied the color lightly and only building it up to a medium pigment. I then applied Eros to the inner crease of the outer corner. Then, I applied Eden fairly heavily to the very outer corner of the eyes and blended it up to the crease. Transitioning from the deepest shade, I decided to apply Bordeaux on the middle of the lid and blending the edges. I then applied Sweet Memory to the inner half of the lid and Nostalgia to the inner corner and blending upwards. Since there isn't a highlight shade, I used my champagne cheek high lighter in the very corners of my eyes just to brighten the look up a bit.
I also used the Em Cosmetics Daydream Cushion Foundation (full review here), the Heaven's Glow Radiant Veil Blush in Faded Clementine, and the Lip Cushion in Faded Clementine.
FINAL THOUGHTS
These eyeshadows have a wonderfully smooth formula and with the rich pigment, this eyeshadow palette performs beautifully! For the price, this palette is definitely worth it! All the eyeshadows are very consistent in formula and quality. While these warm tones aren't the most unique shades, they excel in performance. All the eyeshadows are so enjoyable to use, blending into each other seamlessly but never getting muddy or fading from wear. These eyeshadows are very vibrant and intense, they really pop off of the skin and will look vibrant on all skin tones. I have received many compliments from others when wearing this palette because the colors look so striking and flattering on the skin. If you love warm eyeshadows, I highly recommend this palette. If you have very similar shades, you could pass on this palette because I don't feel like the formula is so unique or special that it warrants collecting. However, it is really nice to have!
