| Review | Zue Beauty Purifying Facial Cleanser & Restoring Night Cream

Listen, I'm all for being healthy and eating superfoods but Quinoa has been a challenge for me. It's quite an acquired taste and texture, luckily, there are other ways to gain benefits from this super grain! Zue Beauty have create a whole line of skincare around the benefits of Quinoa extracts! This brand is dedicated to creating quality natural skincare and giving back to the environment and our world through the sales of these products! They very kindly sent me these products for review purposes.

Before I get into the products, I want to highlight Zue Beauty's Give Back Program. For each purchase made, there is a code on your product that you can input and give back to a great cause! You even get to choose which cause you want to support! I think this is an incredible program and really allows people to contribute and give back to our environment and animals! Check out their Give Back program here for more information.

The Zue Beauty Purifying Facial Cleanser retails for $17.99 USD and is available at Zue Beauty. This cleanser comes in a compact pump bottle which is great for travel and for leaving in the shower. The product has a a lotion-like texture, it feels like a very light cream cleanser. Because of it's natural ingredients, it doesn't bubble or foam up when massaged into the face but it is still a very effective cleanser!

The best way to use this cleanser is with your fingers and massaging one pump of the product into your face. The product is very light and doesn't have a greasy or soapy texture, it really feels like a light lotion. It has a cooling and soothing experience because of the witch hazel, which is great for preventing acne because it is anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory to reduce your redness. It makes my skin feel clean without leaving any reside or drying my skin out. I still use a makeup remover or cleansing balm or oil to remove my face makeup before cleansing with this product.

So why Quinoa?

It is a superfood that is a compelete protein, meaning it doesn't need additional amino acids to be beneficial to your body. It has a ton of anti-oxidants, vitamins, and minerals to help the skin look and feel healthy. It contains a amino called lysine, that is an essential building block for collagen, which as you know is the thing that helps your skin maintain it's youthful look and elasticity. To protect your skin from free-radicals in the environment, quinoa contains calcium, zinc, iron, phosphorous, fiber, and manganese. Additionally, it is a very effective anti-inflammatory, which is great for acne prone and sensitive skin types.

Here is the full ingredients for the cleanser:

Water (aqua), Chenopodium (Quinoa) Seed extract, Sorbitan tristearate, Decyl glucoside, Cocamidopropyl betaine, Cetearyl alcohol*, Glyceryl stearate, Dicaprylyl carbonate, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Leaf Extract, Butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, Sodium stearoyl glutamate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Lippia Citriodora (Lemon Verbena) Leaf oil, Foeniculum vulgare (fennel) fruit oil, Citric acid, Xanthan gum.

As you can see, the ingredients is very simple and full of natural ingredients! I always a appreciate when brands can create quality products without the additional fillers and preservatives that are often terrible for our bodies. In addition to the inclusion of quinoa, this cleanser includes witch hazel, which is a great natural anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredient. Again, this makes it great for oily, acne prone, and sensitive skin types! Even as a dry skin type, I find this cleanser very gentle and nourishing. It removes dirt and makeup well and makes my skin feel clean, but not stripped. Over time, my skin feels soft and healthy! I recommend this for all skin types but especially those who are acne prone or sensitive! The ingredients are so good for treating the skin and very gentle on the skin! Additionally, for a natural cleanser this is a very reasonable price!

The Zue Beauty Restoring Night Cream retails for $21.99 USD and is available at Zue Beauty. This cream comes in a pump bottle, which I always appreciate because it makes it easy to use and it's very sanitary! I usually use about 2-3 pumps for my face and neck. This cream is very lightweight and absorbs into the skin very rapidly. It leaves your skin with this very soft finish and texture but doesn't feel at all greasy or emollient. It's nice when a cream doesn't sit on top of the skin because you don't have to risk getting it all over your pillows and sheets in the evening.

This Night Cream contains some potent natural ingredients including:

Quinoa for deep hydration, improving the skin's texture and elasticity, prevent signs of aging, and promotes an even skin tone. Seaweed which contains many regenerating properties but is also rich in many vitamins and minerals to promote healthy and youthful skin. It also helps soothe acne-prone skin. Gotu Kola which is an herbaceous plant that support cell-turnover for fresh and glowing new skin. It also is high in anti-oxidants and helps reduce the effects of free radicals on the skin.

The full list of ingredients is here:

Water (aqua), Chenopodium (quinoa) seed extract, Sorbitan tristearate, Centella asiatica (Gotu kola) extract, Cetearyl alcohol*, Glyceryl stearate, Dicaprylyl carbonate, Fucus vesiculosus (seaweed) extract, Retinyl palmitate, Sodium stearoyl glutamate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Lippia citriodora (lemon verbena) leaf oil, Melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil, Xanthan gum, Citric acid.

The cream, like the cleanser, has a tea tree fragrance, which is natural and non-irritating. Tea Tree also helps reduce acne because it is an anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredient. I like this night cream for warmer nights because it isn't heavy and it doesn't feel like it's going to melt off my face when it's hot. That being said, I think this night cream is ideal for someone with oily and acne-prone skin because it is very light but still hydrating. It also contains many natural, non-irritating ingredients, along with many acne-fighting ingredients. I did have a recent very random bout of breakouts and when I started using this product in conjunction with the cleanser, my breakouts cleared up quite quickly. As a dry skin type, I prefer a much richer and thicker night cream however, this one works very well for when I don't need something as heavy.

Overall, the Zue Beauty line has some really great natural skincare products for very reasonable prices! They are gentle and contain high quality ingredients. I think these two particular products are great for anyone but particularly those with acne-prone and sensitive skin. I think the best part about these products is that each bottle gives back to a cause of your choice! Very few companies go out of their way to participate in philanthropic activities but Zue Beauty takes it to the next level, where you as a customer can be a part of these efforts to give back! I recommend you check out the brand and their products; the natural ingredients, affordable price, and give back program makes it worth really looking into!
