My beautiful and dear blogger friend, Jenn (Beauty by Jellybean), tagged me to do this fun beauty tag!
I am very happy and lucky to have met so many incredible people in the beauty and blogging community. Initially it was very strange for me to have such wonderful friends, whom I spoke to everyday but have never met. I hope one day I will meet all the wonderful people, whom I've connected so well with since I started Instagram and blogging.

Do you remember your first makeup item?
Besides all the lip smackers and cheap roll-on lip glosses of the 90's, my first real beauty product I got was probably when I was 12 or 13. My mother and I went shopping and she needed some skincare items at Shiseido and I was also helping her pick out her one lipstick (my mother was never really into makeup, she would buy one lipstick a year and use the entire thing up before buying a new one). She let me pick out a lipstick for myself, and I chose this sheer gold shimmer lipstick! I have no idea why I chose a gold lipstick, but I did and I wore it to the nub!
What kind of coverage do you prefer from a foundation?
I prefer a light to medium coverage foundation. I am lucky to have very good skin, thanks to good genes!
Favorite high-end brand?
If you have been reading my blog for a while or have been following me on Instagram for a while, you can probably guess... its Tom Ford. Since the release of his lipsticks, I fell in love with the his beauty line and his philosophy about beauty.
What cosmetic brands have you always wanted to try but still haven't?
Surge Lutens, I don 't know if I could ever justify buying this line. I know that I love to indulge in the high-end lines but Surge Lutens is a whole new level of wallet-crushing!
Favorite drugstore brand?
Milani! They always seem to come out with high quality and unique formulas that I can't resist. Also, they seem to do a much better job than other lines in creating colors that work for a variety of skin tones.
Do you wear fake lashes?
I do! I actually only recently started to wear them regularly this year but I love the way they open up my eyes and enhance my looks!
Is there there any kind of makeup you can't leave the house without?
No, I'm fine with leaving the house bare-faced. I didn't used to be and I would always put on at least my brows, mascara, and a lippie. I of course would love to have the time to apply makeup for every time yourI leave the house but... we can't all be Victoria Beckham ( oh if only).
What is your most cherished makeup product?
My Louboutin lipsticks because they are so beautiful inside and out. I don't often take the out with me but they are always displayed on my vanity!
Do you utilize coupons, rewards cards and sales when you shop for cosmetics?
Oh, definitely! Its actually my kryptonite! If there is a sale or promo code, I'm there! Especially because these promos come so rarely for beauty products! I also hate paying for shipping so I always wait for promo codes!
What type of product do you buy the most of?
My collection is primarily dominated by cheek products (blushes, bronzers, and highlighters)! My cheek drawer has an overflow drawer because there just isn't enough room! There's just something about a pretty cheek product that just gets me!
Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick, blush, etc.) or neutral ones?
Both! I love colorful and bright shades of shadows, I just don't wear them that often because it isn't appropriate for work. If I wear bright shades daily, it would be on my cheeks or lips. I guess when it comes down to it, I'm a neutral girl all the way. I love classic and timeless makeup, and neutrals are the epitome of timeless makeup.
What's your favorite eyeshadow color?
This is like asking, "who is your prettiest child?" ...do I have to choose? Well,, if I have to choose it would be taupe! Taupes often vary from warm to cool and are often complex with a variety of tones mixed into it. Its just such a versatile and universal neutral shade!
Is there a brand you absolutely can't stand?
Hmmm... maybe Younique, mostly because they use representatives to spam your social media accounts.
Do you like trying new skincare products or do you keep to a certain routine?
I love trying new skincare products! Again, luckily for me, my skin is pretty normal and isn't sensitive. So experimenting with beauty products is really fun for me! I believe that as science advances, the new products that come out can only get better and hopefully be better for our skin.
Favorite bath and body brand?
Although its been a while since I've purchased from them, I'm a huge fan of Jo Malone. The fragrances are so beautiful and their bath and body line is very luxurious!
If you could only buy from one brand, which brand would you choose?
Well... I think we all know which line I'm going to say.... Tom Ford! I just enjoy his luxurious formulas and sultry style of beauty.
What brand do you think has the best packaging?
Guerlain has some beautifully luxe packaging. From their gorgeous meteorite tins to their heavy and intricate compacts, the just know how to do elegant and luxurious packaging.
Which celebrity always has great makeup?
Although I'm not a Kardashian fan, I can't deny that I lust over Khloe's makeup! Its always so perfect and sexy!
Do you belong to any makeup communities?
Besides being very active on Instagram, I am also occasionally on MakeupAlley. I haven't had a lot of time lately to be active on too many communities but I really love getting to know my fellow beauty addicts!

Do you like multifunctional products like lip and cheek stains?
Not really, I haven't really found a product that was truly multi-purpose and worked well for both purposes. I do really love loose pigments because they are very multi-purpose!
Are you clumsy while putting on makeup?
I'm pretty precise when I apply makeup. I really don't like haphazard application of makeup, Even when I am tired, I can still be very precise. This is probably from being a makeup artist for a 24hr news network, I worked the overnight shift.
Do you use makeup/base primer for the eyes?
Always! I don't wear eye makeup unless I use primer. When eye primers first came out on the market, I thought they were a gimmick to rob me of my money but I gave in and bought one and I haven't turned back! They really do keep your eye makeup on longer and prevent creasing! I recommend it to all my friends! My current favorite is the Smashbox 24hr eye primer.
What do you love about makeup?
I love everything about makeup! For me, its my time in the morning that is all to myself. A time for me to connect with myself, relax, and get ready to take on the day. My day usually starts and ends with a beauty routine and it just makes me happy! I have always loved art and this is my favorite way to express myself. Everyone needs a creative outlet, this is mine.
