The origin and science behind behind the Dermaclara line is: 

The 3-Step Dermaclara process starts with "Purify". 

To begin the purifying process, start by cleansing the skin with the Claraprep Hydrating Cream Cleanser. You can do this by using either the Pore-Clearing Silicone Exfoliator or the ClaraPulse Pore-Refining and Massaging Device. 

You may be wondering why this kit includes two cleansing tools, but as similar as they may seem, they do serve different purposes. 

The Pore-Clearing Silicone Exfoliator is a handheld exfoliating tool used to get deep into the pores. By using pressure and movements from your hand, you can lift off dead skin and dirt easily and gently. This flexible silicone tool gets around difficult areas where the Clarapulse can't maneuver, like around the nose. This is also where we tend to have the most clogged pores and build up. I like bringing this tool when I travel or go to the gym because it is so portable and I don't have to worry about it getting damaged.

The ClaraPulse Refining and Massaging Device is very similar to the Foreo Devices, which retails for $169.00 USD, just for the device! These devices are so pricey! It is the reason why I have been so reluctant to invest in a cleansing device. The ClaraPulse has multiple intensity settings, using the + and - symbols you can control the intensity. The silicone device is very gentle and relaxing. I love cleansing my face with this device! It just feels wonderful! I have always been skeptical about cleansing devices but this one has really made me look at them in a different light. I really feel that this device helps me achieve cleaner skin. Also, I find my skin is much softer and more supple than it was before! The device comes with a USB charger, so you don't have to worry about replacing batteries. It has a quick charge time and it will last for hours. The best part is you don't have to buy replacement brush heads, the silicone cleansing device is easy to clean and doesn't wear down with use. This is easily my favorite part of the kit! 

The Claraprep Hydrating Cream Cleanser (150 ml.) is a foaming white cream cleanser.  The pearly white cream lathers into a nice creamy foam and cleanses really well but doesn't strip the skin. It is packaged in a metal pump dispenser that is easy to control. A dime-size amount of cleanser is enough to clean your entire face. The fragrance is a very light powdery scent. The cleanser is very gentle and will work for all skin types. 

The second step is "Repair". 

This step involves the Claraline peptide-infused serum to be applied with the Claratone stimulating serum applicator, in conjunction with the Clarafuse anti-aging silicone pads

The Claraline peptide-infused serum (15 ml.) is a very light-weight clear serum with a light powdery scent. Pump a dime-size into your palms and gently spread it over your face, then take the Claratone applicator and massage it into your face. This product helps soften my skin and works well with the other products in the kit. 

The Claratone applicator is a vibrating applicator that massages the serum into the skin, allowing for better absorption of the product. Similar products to this one, typically range from $100-$200! Like cleansing devices, I felt these products were gimmicky but after using this device, I've changed my mind. I find that it really helps with the absorption of my skincare products. Also, it does a fantastic job massaging and stimulating my skin. I love how the size is perfect to get underneath the eyes! I find my skin looks more luminous and I feel that it helps to accentuate the contours of my face. I love using the device because it is so relaxing and such a lovely experience. My day doesn't feel complete without it! 

The Clarafuse anti-aging silicone pads are something very different and new to my routine. This isn't something I would use everyday but at least once a week. if not twice a week. These silicone pads can be left on from 1 to 12 hours and they are used for pulling moisture to the surface of the skin, lifting the skin, and smoothing the texture of the skin. You can use these overnight since you can leave them on for up to 12 hours. After applying and massaging in the serum, you place these sticky silicone pads on the locations where deep wrinkles form. Now, I don't have very deep wrinkles and hopefully it will be a while before I get some, but these silicone pads do help with some fine lines that are beginning to form, particularly in my expression lines. I do notice a smoother texture around my eyes and forehead. These locations also feel softer and much more hydrated. The kit includes 6 different silicone pads for the chest, forehead, eyes, and sides of the mouth. These are very sticky so be sure to gently peel them off, while holding on to your skin. These silicone pads can be cleaned and reused up to 30 times! 

The final step is "Nourish".

This step includes hydrating the skin with the Clarasome radiance restoring moisturizer and Claralips collagen-infused lip serum. 

The Clarasome radiance moisturizer (30 ml.) is a light-weight moisturizer with the same soft powdery scent, as with the other products. The moisturizer is a gel-cream texture and doesn't feel oily or greasy. This moisturizer is great for both day or night and will work for any skin type. The moisturizer contains hylaluronic acid and helps retain moisture in the skin. It feels very soothing and hydrating. It absorbs very well into the skin and makes a great base for makeup. 

The Claralips collagen-infused lip serum (5 ml.) is an amazing lip product! It is packaged in a twist up tube with a plastic applicator. Like most twist up packaging, it does take some time to dispense the product but the applicator releases the perfect amount of serum. The serum is a clear balmy texture and it is incredibly hydrating! It is not at all sticky and smooths out all the lines on your lips! It is such a great lip balm and prepping product for your lip color. 

Overall, I think this kit is well worth the price for the devices alone! These devices are typically so expensive and cost much more than the entire kit. I love the cleansing device, the serum applicator, the cleanser, and the lip serum! I definitely see a difference in my skin after using this kit, I think it would be a lovely gift for a skincare lover or someone who has been wanting to try some skincare devices! The quality of the devices and products are excellent and I highly recommend this kit!
