| Review | Charlotte Tilbury Super Nudes Easy Eyeshadow Palette

Introducing... for fall 2021... another neutral palette! I know we all don't need another neutral eyeshadow palette but we always want a new one. With everything 90's coming back in style this year (except for thin eyebrows, thankfully...), Charlotte Tilbury is releasing a collection as an ode to the 90's supermodel. This Super Nudes Collection includes the re-release of the Super Nudes Easy Eyeshadow Palette, which has a brief previewed release in 2020. I didn't snatch it up last year but with my growing loving for easy, minimalist makeup, this palette seemed like the perfect new addition to my collection. I had many questions about this collection and requests for reviews so, here are my thoughts on this palette. 

The Charlotte Tilbury Super Nudes Easy Eyeshadow Palette retails for $57.00 USD and is available at Sephora, Charlotte Tilbury, and other retailers. This palette is currently limited edition but based on how basic and essential these shades are, I think they should consider making it permanent. The eyeshadows are packaged in a very thin and slim plastic case. The case is a bit larger than a credit card. I love the super thin and slim case because it's so great for storing and traveling. There is a mirror on the inside, which makes it great for on-the-go applications. 

SHADES 

This palette contains six, universally flattering neutral shades that range from a light cream to a black. I honestly love the composition of the palette because you have a cream shade and a black, which works for every skin tone and every look. Then, you have all the shades in between that are both cool and warm. This palette definitely leans more warm than cool but I still think all the shades are universally flattering. 

These palettes from Charlotte Tilbury are also broken down by Day and Night Eye, to make it even easier to create a look without too much thought and effort. If you're a beginner at makeup or your makeup skills aren't advanced, this is really helpful. The first three from the left are the "Day Eye" and the last three shades from the left are the "Night Eye" shades. You can see the label for each of the shades in the back of the palette and it will tell you how that shade is intended to be worn.

Here's a breakdown of all the shades: 

Light Warm Tan (Prime - Day Eye) - This shade is light warm tan that is perfect for a crease and transition shade. It can also be used all over the lid for a very natural lid shade. 

Warm Medium Bronze (Enhance - Day Eye) - This warm bronze shade adds a ton of warmth to any look and it s beautiful crease shade for adding definition to the eyes. While warm, it isn't too warm that it won't suit some skin tones. This shade will suit all skin tones. 

Neutral Soft Chocolate (Smoke - Day Eye) - This shade is almost perfectly neutral, which adds more dimension and balance to any look. It's a great smokey shade to apply to the outer corners or all over the lid for a really smokey look. This is one of my favorite all over lid shades. 

Neutral Beige Cream (Prime - Night Eye) - This shade is an almost perfect neutral cream shade, which can be used to prep the eyes, add brightness to the eyes, or highlight features on the eyes. This is avery versatile cream shade that should work for all skin tones. 

Cool Neutral Taupe (Enhance - Night Eye) - This shade is a light cool taupe shade that is great as a cream or transition shade. I love using this shade for an soft and natural everyday definition. 

Black (Smoke - Night Eye) - This shade is a rich black shade with a soft sheen. It can be used very softly for a natural smokey eye or you can really pack it on and get a ton of rich color. This shade is also a beautiful eyeliner or smudging shade. This black is a very true and rich color. 

FORMULA 

The shades in this palette are wither a soft matte or a satin shade with very fine shimmer throughout. The shimmer doesn't add a whole lot sparkle of shine but it does create a soft ethereal look on the eyes. The shimmer just makes the eyeshadows look less flat than typical satin or matte eyeshadows. The soft sheen makes it look more natural and makes your eye looks more interesting despite the neutral colors. 

All the eyeshadows in this palette have a very soft and lightweight texture, that borders on powdery but it isn't a powdery eyeshadow. These will kick up a bit of dust when you dip into the eyeshadow but when applied to the eyes, the eyeshadows adhere really well! I don't use eyeshadow primer these days because many of them irritate my eyes and even without a primer, these powders adhere and blend beautifully to my eyes. The powdery texture of these eyeshadows doesn't cause much fallout but there is some. I find I have the most fallout when I am trying to smudge some eyeshadow along my lashline but for the most part, these eyeshadows are quite creamy. In fact, when you use a packing-on or patting motion it really feels almost like a cream and packs on quite a lot of color. 

Since the texture of these eyeshadows is so soft, the pigment is also very soft but very buildable. I actually really appreciate the soft pigment because it makes it very versatile because you can use it daily for the office and layer it on the color for an evening out. While the shades look quite intense, they have a very soft finish but you can get them to look as bold as you see in the pan by just patting on a heavy amount of eyeshadow. I was quite surprised, since these seem so soft, I didn't think they could build to be so rich and pigmented but they can. The nice thing is that even if you apply too much, these shadows blend out easily and you can still get a seamless finish. I love this soft texture because it makes the palette much more wearable and for those who want more pigment, you can achieve this easily by applying more eyeshadow. 

Like I stated earlier, these eyeshadows do feel a bit powdery but they adhere really well to the eyes. I use these eyeshadows without a primer and they last really well on the eyes. I have worn these eyeshadows for beyond eight hours with minimal fading. Keep in mind, my eyelids aren't particularly oily and my eyeshadow only really breaks down when I'm sweaty. For how soft the formula is, I'm very impressed with the long wear time. 

THE LOOK 

For this look, I applied the Neutral Beige Cream into the crease and up to the transition area of my eyes. I then packed on the Neutral Soft Chocolate on the outer corner and I used the Warm Medium Bronze to add definition to the crease. I added just a touch of Light Warm Tan to transition my eyeshadow. Then, I applied the Black shade to my outer lashline and smoke it upwards to blend. I applied the Neutral Beige Cream on the inner third of my eyes and to my browbone. I just applied a bit of mascara to finish my look. 

FINAL THOUGHTS 

While this palette isn't the most unique formula-wise, I still think the formula is really excellent. You can really build the color if you want to or leave soft and smokey. The essential shades have me constantly reaching for it and I love all the shades in this palette so much for everyday use. They're just so easy to use and they're so versatile, you can use these shades in just about any look! This palette has been LIVING in my daily makeup bag and there is rarely a day I don't use it. If you're a minimalist or you need a really great palette of basics, this is a fantastic option! I honestly hope that Charlotte Tilbury will make this palette permanent. It is such a good basics palette that will work for all skin tones. This palette may not contain the most unique shades and it may not have the most amazing formula out there, but I still highly recommend this palette! I was shocked myself but this is my most used palette! I am deeply considering picking up a backup because I love just love using this palette so much!
