| Review | Gucci Beauty Poudre De Beauté Éclat Soleil Bronzing Powder
When Gucci initially launched their beauty range, it didn't appeal to me at all, and based on the fact that they re-launched the range, it seems like not many people felt the same way. The new range has a glamourous vintage vibe that is capturing the hearts of the beauty community. This release of luxurious bronzers in a chic vintage-inspired compact is the perfect gateway to test out the quality of the newly launched Gucci Beauty.
The Gucci Beauty Poudre De Beauté Éclat Soleil Bronzing Powder retails for $62.00 USD and is available at Sephora and other retailers. This bronzing powder is beautifully housed in an art deco vintage inspired gold and teal compact. The compact has a snap closure, which helps secures and protects the powder but is still easy to open. Under the bronzer itself, is a compartment with a synthetic fan brush. The addition of the brush is nice but unnecessary because these brushes tend to not be ideal for application. The compact also comes with a soft light pink pouch, which is very cute and great for protecting the compact from getting scratched or damaged, but it's very easy to get dirty. I haven't had mine for long and I feel like it already needs to be washed.
SHADES
This bronzer comes is a very wide range of shades, five total! This is pretty impressive for a luxury range because we often see that luxury brands tend to not be as inclusive with their shades. There really is a shade for everyone in this bronzer collection. I chose two shades:
03 Medium - This shade is perfect for me most of the year. This shade is a warm medium tan but it leans slightly more neutral than the shade Tan. This shade suits me the best and I'm about an NC30-NC35 in MAC foundations.
04 Tan - This medium tan shade is a shade deeper than Medium and it also has a much stronger warm undertone. The orange tone in this shade is much stronger and more obvious. I think this shade can still suit someone who is about an NC35 but will look better on someone with a deeper more tan skin tone.

SHADES

FORMULA
These bronzers have a soft luminous finish with very fine golden shimmers in the soft powder. The powder itself is very silky, fine, and soft. They pick up on to a brush very well because of their soft texture, so be aware of picking up too much initially. These do have a medium buildable pigment that can be easily layered. This soft powder glides onto the skin and feels almost-creamy to the touch. It blends effortlessly with very little need to buff the bronzer onto the skin. Just a soft brush with gentle strokes will seamlessly blend the bronzer into the skin. I don't recommend using the included brush, it's not the ideal shape or texture for blending a bronzer like this. Something soft and fluffy of any size will do though.
Even when applied onto unset foundation, it doesn't cling to the wet skin but it blends into it, adapting to the texture underneath. This bronzer will look more glowy and fresh on a dewier base or foundation and it will have a softer more satin luminosity on a more matte base.
While the shimmers look apparent in the swatches, the shimmers are actually very fine a barely detectable on the skin, unless you're very close up. This bronzer leaves the skin with the perfect touch of bronze coloring and a soft luminous glow. The shimmers in the product don't emphasize texture or pores. It is a soft satin finish on the skin that looks very natural but still very fresh.
THE LOOK
This is the medium shade applied onto a dewy foundation that hasn't been set. You can see how glowing and fresh it looks on my skin because of how the bronzer adapts to the sea underneath. I also have no highlighter on, just the bronzer on my cheeks, temples, jawline, and sides of my nose.
FINAL THOUGHTS
I have been long awaiting a luxury bronzer that has a really great formula and shade range, now that it's here, it turns out it is limited edition! Well, hopefully, Gucci will change their mind because these bronzers are beautiful! They have a wonderfully silky, soft, and smooth texture that you want from a bronzer. They apply like a dream and blend seamlessly into the skin! Plus, the colors (while a touch warm), actually look beautiful and natural on the skin! Now, I just speaking about the more medium shade because it appears the lighter shades have a more natural tone, which is ideal for fair skin tones.
If you have been intimidated or afraid to use bronzers because you fear the color will be too warm on you, these have a wonderful shade range that suits the skin tones they are meant for. I am extremely impressed with the quality and beauty of this formula. It really gives you a very natural bronzed look and a really fresh sunkissed look! I really hope they make this formula a permanent one because the luxury beauty market has been needing a beautiful bronzer formula with a great shade range for years! This one is definitely worth the splurge and this is coming from someone who owns many bronzers and is often very picky about them.
