There's nothing quite like a good fragrance to get you in the seasonal mood and for creating wonderful memories. I find that scent memories are so incredibly powerful and I love picking up a new fragrance for each season. Especially, now, when we're amidst one of the biggest pandemics in history, fragrances are a great way to travel and take your mind off of the dark times to a much better place. I find myself, more than ever, spritzing myself daily to brighten my mood, lift my spirits, and take me to a wonderful summer destination.

Since I have been on such a fragrance kick lately, I have discovered and added some new fragrances to my collection that I can't get enough of. I have zero expertise in fragrances but I have done a fair amount of research into notes and details for my fragrances. Please excuse my descriptions, they are only how I would best describe each fragrance but by no means am I a fragrance expert. In no particular order, here are a few of my current fragrances for summer:

1. Tom Ford Neroli Portifino - This is a classic fresh fragrance that I think anyone who love a fresh scent has in their collection. I've had on my list for years and after digging up several samples and finishing them, I knew it was time to pick up a full size. This fragrance conjures up thoughts of the beach, summer nights, and sweaty-sexy skin. The burst of citrus at the beginning is refreshing but soft, not too tart but when it settles, it has a scent that reminds me of sunscreen on skin after a long day at the beach. It is a very sexy yet clean summer fragrance. Perfect for day or night. It does tend to fade quickly, in about 3-4 hours but if you press your nose up against your skin, you can still get a whiff of that sexy summer skin scent. Perfect for cuddling up with your significant other on the beach as the sun sets and it gets a bit chilly.

Notes:

Top - Bergamot, Mandarin Orange, Lemon, Lavender, Myrtle, Rosemary, and Bitter Orange

Middle - African Orange Flower, Jasmine, Neroli, and Pitosporum

Base - Amber, Ambrette, and Angelica

2. Heretic Dirty Mango - This mango fragrance is complex and addicting. The mango note is strong in this fragrance fruity and sweet but balanced by a muskiness that makes this fragrance complex and mature. This isn't your adolescent fruity body spray but it has a creamy musk. The mango not is very strong and the main focus of this fragrance and is just backed by these woodier notes. This is a very sexy fruit fragrance that can easily transition from day to night. There's something very familiar about this fragrance in my memories but I'm just quite sure who or what I am to associate it with. I find this fragrance to be quite long lasting and I can continue to smell it throughout the day. As it fades, it leaves the soft and sexy musk and woody notes.

Top - Mandarin Orange, Lemon

Middle - Geranium, Mango

Base - Musk, White Woods

3. Malie Organics Mango Nectar - This mango fragrance is more fruit-forward and it has a very juicy mango scent. It's a very fresh and sweet mango fragrance but doesn't smell too adolescent.
While it starts out very fruit-forward, it mellows out a bit after some wear and you'll notice a creamy almost-vanilla-like note when the musk comes through. This is a very delicious and sweet scent but I wouldn't label it as gourmand fragrance, it's very much a fruity fragrance. This fragrance has a pretty decent wear time and is a very uplifting fragrance.

Top - Mango, Orange

Middle - Papaya, Melon, Apricot

4. Ouai Melrose Place - This fragrance may be my new signature fragrance, which is incredibly unexpected for me. Every time I take a whiff of this scent, I think it smells young and expensive. Its what you would expect a young heiress to smell like and I love it. It's floral without the powdery and very musky notes of what you would consider an old lady scent. It has a sophistication to it with a very filtering musk note that lingers throughout the more adolescent fruit and floral notes. It just has this very intoxicating fragrance that doesn't smell like a cheap body splash but isn't overly mature. I think what I appreciate the most about it is the balance of notes. I also like that it lasts really well and develops on the skin throughout the day. This fragrance is great for day or night and I've just been loving it so much lately.

Top - Champagne, Pink Pepper, Red Berries, Litchi

Middle - Peony, Rose, Freesia, Jasmine, Bergamot

Base - Amber, Sandalwood, White Musk, Cedar

5. Heretic Dirty Rose - This fragrance is very fresh and starts with a burst of peppery greenery. The peppery note will fade and leaves you with the scent of the fresh-cut rose stems and a little bit of petal. This is the rose scent for those who don't love rose because the focus is more on the fresh greenery with a very light touch of the flower. As the scent settles on the skin throughout the day, you're left with a fresh green and wood note. This a great fragrance for the day, as it isn't too strong. It reminds you of walking about through a garden a breeze comes through giving just a faint whiff of floral but mostly the greenery in the garden.

Top - Bergamot, Pink Pepper

Middle - Apricot, Damask Rose, May Rose

Base - Woody Notes
