This brand's aesthetic is a minimalist's dream! Along with their minimalist style, CLE Cosmetics has a minimalistic ideology of beauty that is refreshing! This brand combines k-beauty technology with non-toxic and cruelty-free ingredients. Clean beauty and a clean aesthetic, how beautiful is that? While vitamin c serums are very popular, this vitamin c sets itself apart from the rest with a unique formula that will impress everyone. I was very kindly gifted this serum from CLE Cosmetics.
PRICE AND PACKAGING
The CLE Cosmetics Vitamin C Elixir retails for $45.00 USD for .51 fl. oz. and is available at CLE Cosmetics. This serum is comes packed elegantly and simply in a white sliding box with embossed text in the front. You can see the attention to detail and time that was put into every aspect of this product, even as simple as it appears. The dropper and the product come separately and when you are ready to use it, you simply open the bottle and insert the dropper. The bottle itself is made of glass, displaying the beautiful golden liquid inside.
FORMULA
While this doesn't seem like a lot of product, the serum is potent and because it is made with natural ingredients, it must be used within a month or be refrigerated to prolong its potency. This is something that is clearly labeled on the exterior packaging. I really appreciate that they clearly note that this product should be refrigerated if it isn't used within a month because many brands don't even bother with this information. I believe if you use this product day and night for a month, you will easily finish the serum within one month's time. You really only need about 3-4 drops for your face and neck.
What makes this serum special is that it is a bi-phase serum! Included with the vitamin c serum is a bit of oil that really helps hydrate the skin and provide a beautiful glow without the greasiness! You can see the layer of oil floating at the top of the bottle and prior to use, you must shake the bottle well to incorporate the oil into the serum. Once combined, the texture of the serum feels very light but also rich. It instantly absorbs into the skin and leaves a very fine layer of oil on the skin. It isn't heavy or bothersome in any way but it just feels like you just applied a light moisturizer to your face. For both oily and dry skin types, you should still apply a moisturizer afterward. I love a serum and oil hybrid because I often layer the two anyways in my skincare routine but having it all in one, makes it so easy.

Top Layer - Rosa Canina Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Seed, and Phytosqualene
This blend of oils is rich and nourishing while being incredibly lightweight and not clogging pores. Thes oils offer an of hydration without any greasy texture and of course, they're all-natural oils as well!
Rosa Canina Oil - Rosa Canina Oil, also known as Rosehip Oil, is known for doing everything from hydrating the skin to boosting collagen production, reducing inflammation, and reducing hyperpigmentation. It also helps prevent sun damage and reduces fine lines.
Sweet Almond Oil - This oil contains vitamin e, which keeps the skin healthy, prevents sun damage, and helps reduce fine lines. It also contains fatty acids, which help your skin retain moisture and heal chapped skin.
Jojoba Seed Oil - This oil has anti-inflammatory properties, which help with dry, chapped skin, and redness. It has also been known to help reduce the symptoms of skin conditions like eczema. It also helps repair the skin because it contains high amounts of vitamin e and b-complex.
Phytosqualene - The molecular structure of squalene is very close to our own's skin's squalene, which makes an ideal natural moisturizer that penetrates the skin deeper than other hydrating ingredients. It's also known for being extremely lightweight and non-greasy, making it ideal for all skin types. It is known to help fight free radical damage, balance oil production, and has powerful anti-inflammatory properties to soothe the skin. It also promotes blood circulation and collagen production, making the skin plumper and smoother!

FINAL THOUGHTS
I am a very big fan of this serum because I love the fusion of serum and oil together! I feel like it creates such an effective and potent product. Vitamin C serums can be quite harsh but because of the extra nourishing layer oil, this one feels very gentle and nourishing on the skin. This is great for those with sensitive skin or those first getting into using vitamin c. I have seen a huge improvement in my skin since I started using this vitamin c serum consistently. My skin is so much softer, smoother, and has great elasticity to it. Besides the plumper and smoother skin, I have also seen improvement in the reduction of my hyperpigmentation. I really love this serum for the feeling it gives my skin after long-term and immediate use! The serum really gives my skin a beautiful glow and makes a beautiful skincare prep step, prior to makeup application! This serum will make your foundation just a touch glowy, which I love! It is never greasy feel, just very hydrating. The ingredients in this serum are just so exceptional and potent. I really believe any skin type will benefit from using this serum and I highly recommend it! I have tried many vitamin c serums in my life and this is by far, one of my favorites!
