here. I am very excited to see the release of some fun new summer shades from
House of Sillage. While the core collection has some beautiful shades, this new summer collection includes some shades that aren't available at all in the core range. Bright pinks and vibrant corals are going to brighten up your summer look!
SHADES
The 2020 House of Sillage Cruise Collection includes 6 new and limited edition shades for summer. As with the permanent range, all the shades in this collection are names after titles of royalty or suits the royalty theme. If you read my review of the permanent range, I split the shade range into several color families and I'm happy to see some new additions that don't quite fall into the original color families. None of these new additions have any shimmer in them and just leave a creamy finish.

The Royal - This shade appears to be a light petal pink in the tube but it is actually more of a medium petal pink with a cool undertone. This fresh cool pink will work on a variety of skin tones and will help brighten the complexion.

The Crown - This shade a vibrant light coral shade, which is so different for the House of Sillage range! I love seeing a shade expansion that adds something new and different to the shade range. This shade is a coral that leans more orange than pink but still has a very subtle pink tone to it. This is my ideal summer shade and it would look amazing on a huge range of skin tones because it neither leans too pink nor too orange. It's a very wearable coral!

Maharani - This shade is a fresh petal pink with a warm undertone. This shade would compliment golden eyeshadows or gold toned shadows with it's warm undertone. It's a very fresh lip color for those who want something warm but afraid of something too orange toned.

Monarch - This shade is a cool medium rose shade, it almost a mix of The Royal and Maharani. This shade is much more vibrant on the lips but is very wearable because of its deeper tone. It's cool tone brightens all skin tones and complements cool rosy skin tones.

Royal Highness - This shade is a rich and fresh raspberry shade. This vibrant magenta pink shade with a red undertone is a beautiful and wearable pink for most skin tones. This shade is a great evening lip color or just a bold lip color for a polished daytime look.

Royal Seduction - This muted neutral red is a very wearable version of red. It isn't as vibrant as the other reds in their permanent range and it's also a bit deeper. This shade is almost perfectly neutral, leaning neither too cool nor too warm. This means that this red shade is universally flattering and very wearable.

COMPARISON SWATCHES
Here are some swatches of the permanent shades next to the Cruise Collection shades. You can see that the Cruise Collection contains some unique and different additions to the House of Sillage range.

You can see the variety of the mid-tone pink shades. The mid-toned pink shades in the permanent range are all very cool so, the Cruise Collection really adds some more variety and tones to the range.

You can see the variety in the red shades currently available. King is a warm red, while Queen is a cool red, and Royal Seduction is right in the middle, a neutral tone. Its kind of like the three little bears - too cool, too warm and just right...

The berry shades in the permanent range are very different from Royal Highness in this Cruise Collection. This range probably has the most variety even though you're only talking about three shades. Royal Highness has a lot more red in it than Emperor or Empress.
FORMULA
This formula is just as luxurious as you would expect! It contains real crushed diamond powder to add luminosity and firmness, evening out the lips and leaving a flawless finish. This is easily the most luxurious lipstick formula I have ever come across! How often can you say you slathered your lips in diamonds? The formula also contains vitamin e to nourish, prevent free radical damage, and provides antioxidants for the lips.
This formula is very creamy and luxurious formula. It feels incredibly comfortable and hydrating without being too greasy or too emollient. I find that this formula lasts on average 5-6 hours depending on whether or not your're eating or drinking. This is within the average wear of lipsticks but these particular shades also leave a bit of a stain to the lips so, you may get even longer wear from many of these vibrant shades.

The lipstick glides on very easily and evenly coating the lips. These lipsticks apply with a medium-full pigmentation and can easily built to a full coverage, which allows you to customize your lip look. These are quite pigmented coating the lips with vibrant color and leaving a very creamy finish to the lips. It feels very smooth and creamy on the lips. The lipstick glides over any texture and lines on the lips, smoothing them out and making the lips look more youthful. The texture creates a very full and pouty finish to the lips.
FINAL THOUGHTS
This summer collection is just the perfect selection of summer lip colors! Vibrant, fresh, and brightening. These shades enhance any complexion beautifully and compliments fresh bronzed skin with summery bronze eyes. I often find myself wearing less makeup in the summer and opt for a fresh lip color for an easy polished look and this collection is perfect that. The fresh shades require little other makeup to pair with to look summer-ready. The creamy texture of these lipsticks smooth over the lips seamlessly and they feel so comfortable! The vibrant shades stain the lips for extended wear and the luxurious packaging just makes you want to keep reapplying! If you haven't already dipped into the luxurious range of lipsticks, now is the time! These limited edition colors are a must-have and a great introduction to this luxurious formula.
