After the holiday indulgences comes the New Year resolutions and one of many people's beauty resolutions is to take better care of their skin. This advanced skincare kit is intended to recharge and revitalize your skin for the new year, as well as provide intense anti-aging benefits! Who doesn't want glowing and healthy skin? I was very kindly sent this sample kit from Elemis. 

The Elemis Biotec Skin Energizing System retails for $140.00 USD (value $170.00) and is available at Elemis. This kit contains one full-sized Biotec Skin Energising Cleanser (200ml), Biotec Skin Energising Day Cream (8ml), the Biotec Skin Energising Night Cream (8ml), and the Foreo LunaPlay. This kit contains smaller versions of the Day and Night Cream for you to test before investing in the full-sized versions or perhaps you are looking for a travel skincare set. As with all of Elemis products. the value is absolutely amazing for the quality and quantity you receive.

This Biotec Collection contains a potent proprietary complex that contains copper, zinc, trio of acids electrolytes, and amber. The purpose of this collection is to recharge the skin and "turn on the cells". What does it mean when it says it increases cell energy? Well, as many of us know, our bodies are electrically charged, all our cells are. As we begin to age, cells begin to deteriorate, especially skin cells because their turn-around time is much faster than other cells in our body. The copper and zinc are elements that can recharge the cells and make them efficient, increase it's elasticity, and increases it's vitality. Therefore giving you healthier, stronger, smoother, and glowing skin!

The Biotec Skin Energising Cleanser is a gel cleanser housed in a large pump bottle. The scent of this product reminds me of a fresh men's fragrance. It isn't too strong but is very different from many of my skincare products. The fragrance is very energizing which really enhances the skin treatment experience. One pump is plenty to cleanse the entire face and it has a light foaming effect. I still recommend using the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm (full review here) prior to this cleanser to remove any makeup. After I rinse off the Cleansing Balm, I pump one dose of the Energising Cleanser into my Foreo LunaPlay (included in the set I received) cleansing device or into my hands and I massage the product into my damp face. The more you work this product into the skin, the more you will see your skin glow! It is pretty impressive the almost instant results as you massage this product into your skin. You really feel and see the product cleansing your skin and awakening all the cells! I am not usually an advocate of devices but the Foreo LunaPlay actually really works with the product to bring out the glow in your skin, more so than with your hands. With my ultra-dry winter skin, I am very thankful for any product that will put the glow back into my skin! I have been suffering with some dry patches, as I do every winter, so this gel cleanser is not the most nourishing but it does help my skin look really healthy. I actually really love this cleanser when my skin is congested and needs detoxification. I rarely break out but when I do, this cleanser reduced the breakout in a day! After cleansing my face, I proceed with the Biotec Skin Energising Night Cream.  This dual phase Night Cream contains a serum side and a cream side. together it is a potent skin nourishing and revitalizing cream. After my initial application of about 2 pumps, I didn't think it would be enough to hydrate my dry skin but when it disguised my dry patches after initial application, I was impressed. In the morning, my skin is seriously renewed! It had a beautiful and healthy looking glow, not to mention I didn't have dry patches anymore and my skin felt very plump! My skin was definitely a lot smoother and it really looked like new skin! I was very surprised that I didn't need any extra cream or oil to fight the dry patches. I believe that having a good nighttime treatment routine is so important because nighttime is a crucial time for cell repair and recovery. For my morning routine, I am not a fan of actually cleansing my skin in the mornings because my skin is so dry. I usually just rinse my face with water but if you have normal to oily skin, I recommend using the cleanser again to remove any buildup form the night. After rinsing and drying my skin. I go in with the Biotec Skin Energising Day Cream to hydrate and treat my skin throughout the day. The day cream is also dual phase with a serum and a cream. Together it is a very hydrating and nourishing treatment but it isn't greasy. It preps my skin very well for makeup and helps continue to the anti-aging treatment throughout the day. 

After using this regimen continuously for several weeks, I have noticed a huge improvement in the radiance and of my skin. My skin is often so dull from the winter weather and overindulging during the holidays but with this regimen, my skin looks healthy and fresh! My skin also feels very plump, smooth, and my lines seems much less noticeable. Overall, this line of products is very potent and can really transform your skin in a very short amount of time. The cleanser is highly detoxifying and the creams are very nutrient-dense, so combined they really penetrate the skin for a highly effective routine.
